I'm so sorry it had to come to this :( Maybe Hazel does have something wrong inside that you'd never fix. I certainly won't be nasty to you, I know from our chats on msn how hard this has been for you-you have so much in your life at the mo it has been impossible for you to cope. Try not to blame yourself you haven't abused her,you've loved her, when you think of all the animals who die everyday that have never been loved Hazel was lucky to have you-if she had been in rescue they would have been unable to rehome her and the end result would have been the same ,but at least with you she has known love. I kinda touched on this in another topic ! I'm just curious as to how you thought up/chose your doggies names. We seem to get quite a few people looking for inspiration on here and I thought it would make an interesting thread ! My first pup Ellie was named partly after my Aunty Elly who lives in Holland the kids wanted to call her angel so I told them that would be her middle name !! But I changed the spelling so as not to offend Elly no need though she is a dog lover and thought it was great !!! Rio's name was a compromise ! my hubby is a massive manchester United fan and just after the world cup everyone was raving about Rio Ferdinand over here so he suggested Rio and I said I could live with that as I had been a huge Duran Duran Fan as a kid and it suited him too !!! Come on tell me yours ! :Dog_run:

Well my 2 had a full english this morning !!! Bacon, eggs, tomatoes, beans oh and a little bit of kibble mixed in of course !!! But AFTER we had eaten ours !!!!

Hi Luka-pop I had a similar problem with both of my dogs Ellie would cry and howl and scratch at the door and Rio would rip my sofa and chairs to shreds !!! :roll: However they are both now on a herbal remedy called Valerian & Scullcap which I bought on-line from animalsnaturally.com it calms the dog and reduces anxiety levels,I also have installed a DAP diffuser which sounds identical to the comforzone plug ins that you mentioned. Since i have used these Rio has stopped being destructive when left and Ellie hardly ever squinny's now ! Other tactics I have used in conjunction with this is kongs stuffed with cheese and liver and such lovely goodies that i give the dogs just before I leave them,Also to keep Rio's mind occupied (he's only 9 months) i get old cardboard pizza boxes cereal boxes etc and put a few treats in each one and tape them up really well with loads of sellotape and leave them around for him to rip to shreds.It's a pain to clear up when I get in but at least I still have a sofa!!!!!!!! No offense taken ! :wink: If you look in the dogomania memorial forum there is a post on there entitled rainbow bridge. I guess nothing in this world is guaranteed but sometimes it's things like this that make it all worthwhile sometimes. Dogs don't live long enough :( and when they leave us it breaks our hearts and I guess that thinking that they'll be there waiting to greet you when it's your turn makes the pain easier to bear.

WE all go to the rainbow bridge to live forever WITH all the doggies we've ever had :D That's my heaven anyway if it's not like that then what's the point. When I was little I asked a priest what heaven was like,he said 'whatever you want it to be like !' So I'm sticking with that one. Actually Marion don't tel wulluff I told you this but me and snowpaws are real sisters and we 'adopted' wulluff as our big sister because her sisters are useless !!! :roll: We are sisters though and as far as strangers are concerned that's how we introduce each other !! :wink: I gave woolluff a fridge magnet that says 'friends are the family we choose for ourselves' that's how I see it anyway we are all as loyal to each other as any 'real' sisters, I do know how lucky I am, woolluff and I only really got together as friends about 18 months ago but I knew after the first day we spent together that I had made a friend for life. Soppy isn't it !!

Sad to hear that innocent doggies are losing their lives :cry: just because of their breed. What dogs do you have are any of those 'borderline' breeds ? There is quite a lot of paranoia over here about certain breeds but not an awful lot af legislation.
