Beautiful Border Collie

Well if that aint the truth!!!!!!!! My gosh, since my pups were born i had to get rid of the carpet, sand and stain the floor, flip over my couch cushions (they chewed em up), and so many more things....... sure, their cute BUT........more work than kittens-for sure!

I have used pepper spray because of a factorys German Shepherds. It didnt phaze them. I live next to this place. For some strange reason every dog wants to attack my dog. I guess they are jealous of his beauty. Now, my dog thinks that other dogs are out to attack him. He has been attacked by so many breeds.

Wherever the nose goes, the animal will follow. I have used these for years. They are not uncomfortable,like the prong collar. My dog HATES the prong collar. I only use it on walks where people also walk there dogs and for some reason they cant read the sign DOGS MUST BE LEASHED :roll: The prong collar hurts a little, and it can hurt a lot too. The halti, IMO cant hurt, i just dont see how. As for the shock collar. I have also used that for years. The reason i started was my male border collie went mad and crazy when we would put him in his kennel. Nobody could come near the kennel. That was MY FAULT. I used the kennel as a punishment when he was a pup. I know, i was stupid. My other dogs have no problem with their kennels. I have since learned.

My little dog runs and keeps up with the big dogs. He goes fishing in the river, why everytime my child catches a fish, i know, because LITTLE dog barks! and the number one reason i dislike the the big dogs, the owners!!! ah noooooooo, of course i didnt mean that, that sounds pretty stupid if you ask me. Love the big dogs, love the little dogs, not so sure about some of the owners though!

My dog has a lump right between his eyes. Usually if it doesnt go away after a couple of months, then the vet will take a closer look, maybe do a biopsy, to make sure it is a cyst and not a cancerous tumor. They seem to come and go on my dogs. I have had one on my back for 3 years and now i have one on my wrist-had it for about a year now. Mine need to be surgically removed or else i can just live with them, which is what i have been doing. Well, i never had one on my dogs last for years. Hope your dog is ok! Let us know.

Im sad. I wasnt sad before when my pups left. They are now 9 1/2 weeks old and i have grown closer to them. None have left in a couple weeks now. This one, i called Big Boy. He was a snuggler, a cuddler, and a big sweetheart. It is quieter around here now. There is NO WAY now that i can let "wolfie" go. My other pup "Indy" is a naughty boy and i probably wont cry when he leaves. When the people left, they decided to let big boy on the grass to go potty. Well, he saw me and booked over to me. :cry: I love you BIG BOY!! There are a lot of deer around here in Wisconsin. I see them everyday. People sometimes get killed by hitting them, on cycles or cars. I dont know anybody who hunts for sport. They all hunt and then take the carcass to be processed. Even the hide gets used. When i fish, i let the fish go. Unless i am on vacation where the water is cleaner! Fish poplulation also needs to be controlled. When animals populate rapdily and nothing is done about it, they develop diseases and die a painfull death. Chronic wasting disease is affecting our deer all around the US. Mostly the animals or fish starve from the overpopulation. We have a strange new predator here. Its part coyote and looks part Hyena? We also have cougars, bears and wolves, more than ever. Lately bears are coming around homes. I am more scared of wild dogs let loose around my place than bears or wolves. Now im scaring myself :o I got to take my doggies out soon and its so dark and the factory next door has a guard dog that is NOT inside its fence! The dog somehow got out and is walking around. YIKES!!!! Will take my pepper spray with me. Wish me luck :(

Just wanted to share one last time, the newest pics of my litter. I only have 2 pups left, i am keeping one. The one i am keeping looks just like a wolf (sorta) he has very little white and is mostly gray with black spots. He has freckles on his snout!! He knows his name "wolfie" i know, how original :wink: Hope they bring a smile to your face :D They are 2 months old today! :bday: yes, the pups in the pic are actual size LOL! My male and her mated. Her boobs were swollen, but no pups. Then, she went into heat again in March. Weird huh? 2 heats in 2 months. This time she did get pregnant. Would of got to your question sooner, just been gone to herding trials in Montana with my border collies.

You really need to clean the kong, especially if you put peanut butter inside it. If you dont clean it you may find little creepy crawly things eating the leftovers. :o

Yes, you are right. The Border Collie is the smartest breed. At this moment i have 11 of them :o Whos training who? :lol:

I recently bred my Border Collies. They are not AKC. That is not whats important with Borders unless what you want is a show dog. What is important is their working ability and of course their overall health. What you need to understand is, ranchers and farmers and such, still use these dogs every day and depend on them to round up and look after their livestock. Continual breeding just for show, or by BYBs will in time, breed the herding instints out of the Border Collie. But- about my dogs. My male is the most intelligent dog. He will find the remote for me, he comes running to me when he gets hurt, he will pick up things for me when i drop them, he knows so many words and can read my mind. The commands he knows are endless. He is only 5 years old and imagine what he will know in another 5 years. Here is my boy, Casey and a pic of our new litter. She does have a black spot on her forehead. Hopefully its just my dog and not something wrong with her.

UGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!! If one more person says "why is he wearing a muzzle?" I swear!!!!!!!!!!! My dog sometimes wears a head collar also known as a halti or harness. Looks nothing like a muzzle, in fact it looks exactly like what horses wear. UMMMMM.........that would be a harness. Then i have to explain its not a muzzle its a head collar like what horses wear so he cant pull me....blah blah blah....its like i said it so much that its recorded in my mind :roll: Hey horsefeathers, i have a toy poodle and my man hates being seen with him. Poor little guy. Oh, he is not the one who wears the head collar (muzzle) :roll: :lol:

Casey used to love to see "Grandma". He would run in her house and jump on her lap. I always had to tell him to get down. He would always sneek a paw up on her lap though.BUT- For about 4 months now, he wont go near her. He will jump over the love seat so he doesnt have to walk in front of her. When i say "go see Grandma", he will jump up on my lap and put his head on my shoulder. I hope he cant sense that maybe she has something wrong with her. I know some dogs can sense cancer. My Mother is in her 70s. She moved last August but Casey just started doing this in January. It really worries me that she could be sick and i dont know it. Has anybody heard of anything like this? She always gives him treats when i take him there. He eats the treats but still wont go near her. Its really sad. I feel bad for my Mother. She used to babysit him when he was a pup nearly 6 years ago. He doesnt do this to anybody else and she has never hurt him. Help me figure out whats going on here. :(

Oh no, im so sorry for your loss. How awful :( Did you call the police? You should be able to do something about it. Is there Animal control in your area? Also you should be able to take them to small claims court and sue them for the cost of your dog, although no money can replace the dog. Let us know what happens. Stay strong.
