1. She is darling! :D I might suggest you watch her weight, because she probably loves food like a lab, and they seem to get fat on nothing.

Flyball

Does anyone participate in flyball with their dog?
3. Does anyone use a clicker for training their dogs? If so, how has it worked?
4. Oh courtnek! I'm so so sorry
5. Yep he is! :o Poor little guy. Here is the link: http://www.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=1034506&adTarget=468petsgeneral&SessionID=3e9609272d4ecfa9-app2&display=&preview=&row=0
6. I don't think so, but I'm checking. ;) Are you going to adopt a dog?
7. My brother thought up Winnie's registered name: Lady Winchester VI (we didn't want the 6, but there were already 5 lady Winchesters. I have come to like the six though. ) And we just shortened it to Winnie. Sable already had her name, though I really like it.
8. Winnie doesn't kill anything! :D (that's a loving lab for you!) The only think Sable kills (and eats) are bugs. :D She'll jump 5ft to catch one! :o I would NOT put up with a dog who kills birds, much less cats! :o :x I yell at my cats when I see they've caught a bird. :agrue: I've also pulled a snake (garter) from my cats mouth. She's a bird cat and thinks she can fly. (has also fallen in the creek, thinking she can jump off a limb and not fall  )
9. If I ever get a HUGE dog like a great dane, or newfie, I think I'll name her "Kitty" so I can call "Here Kitty, Kitty!" and have a big huge dog run up.
10. This is the info I have so far... Standard Poodles... What's good about 'em... What's bad about 'em If you want a dog who: Is both elegant and athletic, lively and happy, moving with a light, graceful, springy gait Is one of the smartest, most capable and trainable, most attentive of all breeds Is so intuitive, and such a skilled reader of body language and expression, that he often appears telepathic Doesn't shed -- one of the best breeds for allergy sufferers Is usually polite with strangers and sociable with other animals A Standard Poodle may be right for you. If you don't want to deal with: Regular brushing and combing, and clipping every month Providing plenty of mental stimulation (training and other organized activities) to prevent boredom and associated mischief Extreme sensitivity, skittishness, and highstrung temperaments in some lines, or when not socialized enough A multitude of serious health problems All the unknowledgeable breeders producing unsound structure, genetic health problems, and hyperactive, nervous temperaments A Standard Poodle may not be right for you.
11. Calling all Standard Poodle People! (including HF) I need info on them. The good, bad, and ugly. Thanks!
12. None of the answers on the poll work for me. Chinese Crested just aren't the right breed for me.
13.
Now there's a breed that is truly being bred to death.
Labs are even more. Makes me mad and sad at the same time.
14. I've always used a choke chain and never had a problem. It's actually required in 4-H and lots of obedience classes, but you need to make sure you put it on correctly so it's a slip collar. Before you put it on, make sure it forms a P.
15. If you put Frontline on your dogs it will kill fleas and ticks. Also if they do get ticks sometime, don't just pull them out but twist them COUNTERCLOCKWISE.
16. Ok, I don't know anything but if the Hovawart breed was created by mixing a lot of breeds together, isn't it possible that you could get one after a lot of mixes? :-? (I think he's probably not one, but just curious)
17. I've never heard of a dog doing that when it needs outside, but I have heard (and seen on AP) of a pig doing that! :o
18. Well in a previous post I said I had one, but lucky I now have two! Or did I already post that? :-?
