In rabbits you use baby oil to get rid of ear mites, but I don't know if it works in dogs. :-?

I'm is Oregon, USA. We have 7 cows and 1 steer. Names: Daisy, Memory, Merry, Mandy, Jelly bean, Caffeine, Hannah, and Moo-moo (believe me I didn't name that one! ) For the cows we use the reward system because it doesn't matter if you hit them with a 2x4 they won't move. They respond to grain and hay better. (horses chasing them to!) Our horses Mike and Blitzen. Mike is a Appaloosa and he responds to soft and hard (though he can't feel anything through his thick hide!) Hard is only used when he throws mom off or steps on her cause he's not paying attention. Blitzen the Exmoor is a  Monet the Guinea Pig is a  to. The ducks Rickey his wife Rendezvous, and the stinking Muscovies Cool and Collect. They are being bad lately. The kitties Tigger, Gracie, and my fav Shotgun. Shotgun knows how to sit, sit up, lay down, rollover, and be a pain. Finally my puppy Winnie. Winnie is 7 and very cool. She sleeps in the laundry room (indoors) and comes inside regularly. I take her on a walk a total of 0 times a day. Let me explain. We own 26 acres, she knows our property line and not to go past it or into the road. She has a kennel for when we go places or on trips. We have a creek through our property and she loves it! :D She's a happy dog.
What do you train most with your dog?
Not sure what this means, but we are training for agility right now.
How do you train your dog?
With food. Sorry for blabbing. I love to!

Well horsefeather, if you get to do it, I DO TO! Peaceful More peacful Most peaceful And I have an even more peaceful one, but I can't find it. Winnie and Smudge loved each other soooo much that when Winnie went on a vacation with us, Smudge went looking for her and got hit by a car.   Winnie was even more heart broken than I. She was looking all around for him, but couldn't find him.

Eating fast is a Lab thing. It doesn't matter how many times you give it to Winnie, she'll always eat it fast. I don't know if this is good or bad, but sometimes if there is water in her bowl I just dump the food in the water. That slows her down! Duck looks just like my sister's puppy! (I think my sister pup (goldie) is almost a year) Goldie is a golden lab cross. She is HUGE though! I would guess she's 30 inches to the shoulders! :o She is a giant! Does Duck have big feet? When Goldie was a pup, she had feet so big that she would trip herself! She is also very thin and she looks like she's starving (acts like it to!), but she does get plenty of food. What breed is Duck? A lab or a lab cross?

Poor puppy. -
Here's what she said before about hips. Her mom not being OFA'd is worrying. :-?
Seana is entered all five days. Her sire was OFA good, his sire was excellent and dam was good, the next generation were all OFA good except one was not OFA'd or at least not reported to AKC. The dam unfortunately either was not OFA's or at least not reported and not all of her side were OFA'd, those that were (4 out of 7) were OFA good (althou one rating is not listed). She will be bred to "Royce" AM/CAN CH Centura Signature Sidekick http://www.geocities.com/signaturedals/royce.html
They are hoping to finish her CH at a upcoming show (Jan 16-20). All the dals I've seen in her pedigree have been CH. I think it's pretty easy since there isn't as many dals as other breeds, like a lab. I don't know if it's common to cross a liver and a black. ? I'll ask her. I'm hoping to go up to the show and meet her in person (the dog and the breeder). Here's her latest email to me. ( I had asked her about hips)
The last litter of pups I had was in 94 and completely unrelated to Seana and Royce. I've not had any problems with hips in my line, Dals do have some problems but no where near what the labs have. It's not nearly as prevelent in Dals. Our main problems are hearing and renal stones. The pups will be hearing tested and I will give information in the puppy packets about feeding, care and ways to test to avoid renal stones. I rarely breed so when I do, it's done with much research and health is the number one priority for me. (or course, since I'm an RN :) While I am breeding to create show dogs, my theory is show dogs are pets 95% of the time and one must be able to live with them first. So while beauty is certainly a goal, health, temperament and stability are higher priorities.
What does this mean?
(or course, since I'm an RN :)
I can't get it to work!
