1. Welcome back Angelboddy  It does seem you have been a busy gal :D Your Chi is adorable
2. The pups should be fed 4 meals a day (little and often). They should be taken out after a meal, after waking from sleep or after running around, it is usual for puppy to pass water or defecate.
3. This really p*** me off about people who just give there dogs up like they are some kind of toy they can pass on, why have them in the first place 30th May Rhodesian Ridgeback Needs a Home - Chester, UK Simbre is a 17 month old male Rhodesian Ridgeback - click here for breed information and photo. He has a lovely temperament and needs a large space which sadly we don't have. For more information please e-mail [email protected] Area: Chester, UK AND THIS ONE BELOW really makes me angry. 30th May Staffie Needs a Home - Oldham, Lancs, UK Taz is a 2 year old neutered male Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He is black with slight brindle markings. He requires a good loving home. He gets on with my JRT but he tends to forget she is only little and often plays a bit hard with her (although she gives as good as she gets). He really loves one on one attention that is the only reason I am looking for a good home for him. Ideally so that my JRT is not on her own, I would love another JRT boy up to 2 years old. For more information please e-mail [email protected] Area: Oldham, Lancs, UK 30th May Rottweiler Needs a Home - Miramar, Florida, USA German Rottweiler, 5 years old needs a loving home. Click here for photo. Neutered, housebroken. Great with other dogs and cats. Very loving and loves lots of attention. The owner are starting a family real soon and the dog is not good with small children. Would be ideal for an adult family. For more information please e-mail [email protected] Area: Miramar, Florida, USA THIS ONE IS A LOAD OF BULL How is that poor dog going to feel. 30th May Maremma Sheepdog Needs a Home - Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA Lana is a seven year old Maremma Sheepdog - click here for breed information and photo, brought to North Carolina from the UK earlier this year. She is a pedigree dog bred in the hills of Wales and I have had her since she was a puppy. She is a beautiful, large white dog, fairly small for a Maremma and typical Maremma temperament. These dogs guard the flocks of sheep on the hillsides of Italy and will bark at anything they see as a threat. They are not attack dogs, but are suspicious of strangers and do not like a stranger trying to be friendly to them before they have sized them up. Once you have been accepted, they are very friendly. The problem I have is that she is jealous of my four year old, who came along after she had already established her place in the family. Since arriving in the US she has been unsettled and snapped at him a couple of weeks ago, so that he is now frightened of her. Maremmas are not good animals to have with young children. I remember the breeder telling me this, but at the time I didn't intend to have any more children. Lana would be best rehomed on a farm or similar situation and perhaps where there are other dogs, as she generally gets on very well with other animals. Once she is your friend, she will guard you and protect you, but it takes a day or two for her to get used to someone new. and would be prepared to bring her to a new owner or have a new owner visit until both Lana and any new owner were at ease with each other. It may be possible to train her to guard livesttock, although she has never been a working dog. These dogs have very strong guarding insticts and have been trained to guard Sheep, Llamas, Alpacas and even hens! We would keep her if we could trust her around our young son, but as he is also frightened of her, she ends up spending most of the day in a dog pen and feeling very unhappy and left out. If you would like more information please email [email protected] Area: Greensboro/Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA. You can read more here: http://notices.dogrescue.net/

5. Glad to hear Buck is ok now :D maybe he was very tired after that long day he had out with you and didn't feel like doing anything. I know its worrying and all you want to do is find out what is wrong, so glad to hear it wasn't anything serious.
6. I would of loved to have kept in touch with Charlies breeder but unfortunately it was not meant to be. Sue was killed in a car accident on her way to a show just after I had him :( Its a shame, has she was very well known at shows and I had only seen her the once when I went to see her kennel of Bullmastiffs and then again when we picked Charlie up. The kennels has since been taken over by Sue's sister-in-law in Scotland.
7.
I was just wondering if anyone else had the joys of living with a farty dog.
Yes I know what you mean, Charlie our Bullmastiff is the worse one for farting and the smell sometimes makes you sick lol and then you have got the hubby at it

14.
Shannon, I'm not sure which commercial silvermoon is talking about, but if it's the one I think it is, it's a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Rosebud
Rosebud. Silvermoon is talking about Iam,s commercial
15. Hi Silvermoon. Are you referring to these breeds: Pug Bullmastiff I know there is a Bullmastiff that is feautered in a commercial ad when he's brushing his teeth and who belongs to a well known breeder...but I haven't seen that ad for ages so I have forgotten what brand the tv ad is for. The 2 dogs above are fawns one slighty darker, both with black masks. these 2 breeds have been featured in dog food adverts.
16. It should be banned
17. I don't agree with dogs being tied up outside either, night or day not only is it cruel but what happens if there is an intruder how is the dog supposed to stop them entering its property! There are many cruelty cases involving chained dogs, some are tied near fences so its easy for them to get strangled if they were to jump over it. A number of dogs are found with chains enbedded in there neck, one was so bad it couldn't be shown on ANIMAL PLANET. Others are left outside in all weathers with no food, water or a warm bed to sleep on and not always a shelter! People are a disgrace to the world.
18. Oh that is awful.....what is wrong with these people   they should be caught, locked up and the key thrown away

20. Hope Im not too late but just came across this post. I can't believe this is happening Lilly is so adorable and cannot understand why it would have to be her. Aroura what about muzzling her, I know it might sound cruel but if it was to prevent her from biting anyone then that would be my option when taking her out!

This poem makes me so sad and angry :x :x :x :x AM I FAMOUS NOW? I was born today. one of 10. my daddy was very famous. I have lots of half brothers and sisters. my mother is very famous. since she got famous she has only had puppies. no more loving hands, no more fun trips...just puppies she is always sad when they leave her. I left home today. I didn't want to go. so I hid behind my mama and 3 litter mates that were left I didn't like you but one day they said I would be famous I wonder, is famous the same as fun and good times? so you picked me up and carried me away even though you were concerned about me hiding from you I don't think you liked me my new home is far away. I am scared and afraid. my heart says "be brave". my ancestors were. did they go to good homes like mine? I am hungry because I cant eat too much, because it will be too bad for my bones. I cant bite or snap when the children are mean to me. I just run, play and pretend I am in a big green field with butterflies and frogs I cant understand why they kick me. I am quiet, but the man hits me and says loud things. the lady doesn't feed me good things like I had with my mother. she just throws dry food on the ground, then walks away before I can get too close for touching and petting. sometimes my food smells but I eat it today I had 10 puppies. they are wonderful and warm. am I famous now? I wish I could play with them, but they are so tiny. I am so young and playful, that it is so hard to lay in this hole, under the house nursing my puppies. they are crying now. I am so hungry. I am also very thirsty. I now have eight. they got cold during the night and I could not make them warm again they are gone. we are all very weak. maybe if I take them out onto the porch we might get some food. today they took us away. it was too much trouble to feed us and someone came and took us away. someone grabbed my puppies. they were crying and whimpering. so we were put in a truck with boxes in it. are my babies famous now? I hope so, because I miss them. they are gone. this place smells like urine, fear and sickness. why was I here. I was beautiful like my ancestors now I am hungry, dirty, in pain and unwanted maybe the worse is unwanted, though I tried to be good. today someone came. they put a rope on my neck and led me to a room that was very clean and had a shiny table. they put me on the table. someone held me and hugged me. it felt so good!! then I felt tired and looked over to the last one who cared as I laid down. I am famous now. today someone cared
22.
aw! and dogs are dogs...they all have their nuisance moments!
Exactly Holz_Boomer no dog is perfect
23. Yes because she saw Alfie as being a nuisance being a boisterous dog, it is the way she bought him up why he was like that in the first place :x
