avaloniaboerboele
No its not cruel, K, young dogs are very tough and shipping will most definately not scar their self esteem/growth. One thing is sure and that they wiil be irritated with future such travelling!!

Guest Anonymous
Does anyone know what international shipping costs?...and is it allowed?..and do you think it is cruel?..I mean 14+ hours on a plane..by yourself..in the dark and cold...could be traumatizing to say the least?
ot if you use an airline with climate controled cargo bay they are taking a new and deserved interest in the wellfare of dogs now a days. But I think you would run in to a delay with customs. some dogs are held for as long a 6 months. :( Check with customs in your country, it may depend on where the dog is comming from. mcobbin
i thought about customs yesterday after i sent that message. sometimes when you transport overseas, the dog has to stay in customs for extended periods of time, and sometimes it IS about 6 months. the new owners have to go to customs to visit the dog. i guess it wouldn't be a good thing, since he would be about 8 months old when he finally got to go home!! :o makes me wonder about how well he would bond. and as for this:
brings up but if he suddenly needed a motorbike part or even a new motorbike we have the money
i understand...my brother is the same way about his Mopars and parts. He can't "AFFORD" a new minivan for his wife and three kids, but he has no problem coming up with the cash for an old muscle car with a flame paint job any day of the week. i feel bad about even telling you now  but that doesn't mean i'll stop dreaming for you!!
