Well, it was meant for ilovelabs but oh well, thanks anyways newfiemom!!

I just found 4 kittens in my backyard...I know NOTHING about cats so I have no idea how old they are and all that stuff..I gave them some milk(was that ok?).....I think it's weird..3 of them are together and the other one was by itself...the single one was white and looked skinnier and smaller than the others...his/her coat was really shabby...and the others- one was an orange tabby and the others were some other darker color...they knew how to climb and looked in better shape than the other one..I put some milk in front of them and checked back a few minutes later, and they hadn't drinked any, all of them were in the same spot...then after a few minutes 2 of them kind of edged away from me, and the orange tabby stayed and just stared.I'm really scared of cats, but I just had to give them some food, and now I don't know what to do...most of the cats here are ferals and I think a cat came here and had kittens, and then left or something..They are very mean, and even tried to bite me when I gave them milk, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do..SHould I try to give them more food and keep them(remember, I have a very energetic little Lab), or just let them stay there?They don't have animal control people here so that's no use.....please help me!!I don't want them to starve or anything!!

Well, i'll try, but probably not all dogs will hate that smell.Thanks though

Is The Dog Whisperer a good book?

Fiction or nonfiction are both okay.....nonfiction would be anything about dogs except dog history(I hate ANY history) and any dog encyclopedias(I already have TONS of those).For fiction, anything that would be a great read, but not stuff that most people would have read, like Lassie.Stuff for my age(12-16) would be great, but recommend any age book that you think is good(or even not good, maybe I'll still read it)ACTUALLY, please post ANY dog book you know or have read, ANY EXCEPT HISTORY AND ENCYCLOPEDIAS...I LOVE reading ENGLISH books and all the books they have in the bookstores here is CHINESE books or REALLY OLD english books...I'm going to tell my mom to buy for me...and I LOVE reading about dogs.Oh, I forgot...ANY BOOK ABOUT ANIMALS ARE OKAY!!!But don't put those scary books, I'm really scared of a lot of things...not those animal abuse stuff, i hate reading those..ok, i'll stop babbling

What's the Christmas Turkey story?I love stories about people and their dogs....just as long as they're not sad or mean or something..mostly the funny ones..I could tell ENDLESS stories about my Mocha.....she was my Akita.....but then I would start crying....she was soo funny...and she knew what we were feeling....she wasn't a I'll-do-whatever-you-want-me-to-do-dog, actually, the very opposite....and she liked making me mad.....but whenever I thought about what made me mad, I'd start laughing...that's what dogs do...they make you think over what we just did...I dunno how to explain...so, I'd really love tp know about all your doggy stories..

Oh I HAVE to tell you guys this......this was a long time ago...well, maybe not THAt long..anyways....ithis happened was when I had my Akita, Mocha.She was six months and I was taking her on her daily walk around the neighborhood, and right when we were passing the community swimming pool, 3 or 4 kids were playing on the lawn in front of this house....and then...the smallest girl was like..."Hey, look, there's a doggy over there, let's go "play" with it!!"...well, I though she meant coming and petting Mocha, and they ran near us( I stayed where I was cuz I thought they were NICE LITTLE KIDS....and they come and pick up rocks from the ground and, before I can stop them, start THROWING ROCKS AT MOCHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Good thing we were still some distance away from them, or we would have been hit!!!!I mean, don't they have ANY respect for a dog to know that they shouldn't hit Mocha?I had to call Mocha and start running away really fast...and the monster kids were actually LUAGHING!!!!!They were laughing cuz they thought hitting a dog was FUNNY!!!!UGHHH!!!!After that, I never let her go near kids unless I knew them, and I always took Mocha the longer way around the neighborhood, instead of passing the monster den..UGHH..

I'm sending a list to my mom in the U.S to buy some doggy stuff for us, and I wanted to get something that would stop Duck chewing on the wires and the chair legs, and I've heard of people talking about the Bitter Apple Spray, but I'm not sure if it works.Just asking if any of you have used it and know it works, or at least on your dog.Please answer, I need to hurry up and send the list, cuz she has to go buy the stuff on the weekend, and today's Thursday already.

I got 75!!!The only thing that's wrong with me is the vegetarian thing.I've always wanted and still want to be a vegetarian, but it's very hard for me because I hate vegetables and there's almost nothing to eat if I couldn't eat beef or chicken.I asked my mom once, when I was , think, 7, why we eat cows and pigs anf chickens, and she said, because animals are in this world to be eaten and serve humans.And I was like NO!!They were here before us!!They should eat us!And once I remembered seeing my aunt wearing a fake fox skin and I thought it was real, and I got mad at her.I told her :imagine an animal wearing a human skin!!How would you feel?And she couldn't say anything.I think it's wrong to think that animals were here to let us eat them, but I still can't stop eating meat!!But I'm not as bad as some people, who eat every meat imagineable-as long as they can get their hands on it, they eat it.UGHH.Now I know my mom isn't an animal lover.She's a plant lover.What a waste. :wink:

NEVER SMACK HER!!!And don't yell either!!!And don't use the cage as a punishment!!!She should see the cage as her den, where she sleeps, a safe place.How old is she? If she is still a very young puppy, take her out at least every hour.I have a 8 week old Lab, and I take her out every 30 minutes cuz she pees A LOT.
