Guest Anonymous Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Well I had to take all three dogs to the vet today because they're being boarded this weekend. I had to make three seperate appointments to take them because I had to take them by myself and take the kids! I am flat out worn out now. Bentley was behaving very badly for him. I just don't get it. He was whining and pulling at his leash. I know he wanted to play with the other dogs there but usually he just sits or lays there and is very well behaved. Not today though. He started barking nonstop and we had to go sit in the "little" exam room until the "big dog" room was open for us. I wish I knew what set him off. Could this be from not getting him out around other dogs enough lately? Usually I take him to Petsmart and he does very well. Doesn't pull or bark or anything like that. I guess I'm just really confused. Oh well, everyone is healthy and heartworm free. Luke and Bentley are still facing skin issues but the vet gave a few suggestions for that. I'm going to start them back on the Linatone Plus with their meals and maybe fish oil caplets again. Does anyone think a change in food would help? Right now they're getting Nutro Lamg and Rice (Natural). I just hate to see them suffer through the itchies if I can stop it. Oh yeah, Bentley weighed in at 110 pounds (much better he's lost weight). Roxie's 90 pounds and Luke is 33 pounds. I can't believe how much Luke has grown since we got him! :D *edited for typos  Quote
courtnek Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 have you started packing? they seem to sense when you're leaving, by movements made that arent normal, like packing....by differences in weekly regular stuff, like not shopping, things like that. mine always know when they're going to be boarded, even though I dont pack till after they're gone...they just seem to know.... Guest Anonymous Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Nope haven't done anything unusual because it's just a weekend trip. Thank dog (We have to go to the mountains with my mother-in-law). So nothing has really been out of whack with their routine except I've been very, very, stressed out and depressed because of news about my dad. I didn't think that caused it because Bentley's been behaving normally otherwise. Just today at the vet he was like an entirely different dog. Quote
ESSlover Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 How does he do with cats? Maybe there had been a cat in there before, and he could still smell it? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 He's great with cats. Doesn't give them a second glance. We have two cats and one of them is always snuggling up next to him. Doesn't bother him at all. Quote
ESSlover Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Ohhhhh.. haha. I guess its not that then, eh? Quote
CincoandDahlilasgirl Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 He probably just got overly excited. Quote

Guest Anonymous Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 He probably does Courtnek. He's always been the most sensitive to my moods and I haven't been thrilled about having to go. Quote
