Well you guys have effectivley ruined my day

Im depressed and sad now, I want to go home and be with my dog but still have a full half day of work left.

I think people okay this behavior by saying its just a dog, but when you put feelings and and the total trust our dogs have. It really makes you hur for them.

Dang-it!! Now im getting all misty again :cry:

I'm not laughing at you, but with you cuz I went through the same thing when I first came here. I was actively reading all these stories and also checking out info on animal abuse, puppy mills, and one of my favorites sites (but not FUN), http://pbrc.net/petbull/

I would leave here everynight with black streaks down my face, red eyes and a red nose. My husband would call me and I'd be bawling. He would get so frustrated with me that I put myself through this, but I HAD to. I had to learn more. I had to know what these poor creatures were going through. I had to find a way to help.

I went through every single story (under resources) on this forum. I went to all the puppy mill sites I could find.

I've settled down a bit since then. I still have to do my searches though...

Now this probably all ready exists but perhaps there could be sites set up that kidded people to read them, like, "Puppies for Sale", "Cheap Pups", etc. to get those who are looking for that type of thing and would never either come to a forum or bother to read the horrors of puppy mills , neglect, etc. Start the site of kidding them in then gradually show the mills, etc. with the advise about getting a pup in the proper manner. Even if this only caught the attention of a small per cent it would be at least that many converted.
As I said these sites maybe all ready out there, there's just too much on the Web for me to keep up, anyway it's takes a long time just to go through Dogo :lol:

Keep doing what you do K. Still, some people have no idea of the horrors to which some of our animal buddies suffer. There are people who have been on this board and other boards who rejoice in telling sad tales of woe, and offer nothing else but that. In your case, that is not true, you offer helpful info, education, and yes, horror stories, but you also offer a lot more.

I, for one, somedays cannot go to sad sites and stories, but always leave them for another day. I have the choice to read them or not to read them, but I feel that I do need to read them, so that I will never drop my fervor for animal welfare (not animal rights).
