Is it o.k. for puppies to eat/chew on real steak bones?

Cooked or raw? NEVER feed cooked bones to dogs, they are a deadly weapon!
As for steak bones, they are too hard for most dogs teeth. Try some lamb ribs and chicken necks, not only are they GREAT for the teeth, they are full of calcium and other things that growing pups need!

Hi Dottiemo
How old are these pups, what breed and what are you feeding them on as a basic diet.
The reason i am asking this is because, yes, raw bones are full of calcium, but depending what you are feeding and how many bones you give could effect the calcium and phospherous levels, which in turn can effect the growth of the pups.

I would not feed my Pits steak bones because of possible harm to them. I only buy those bones that have been cooked clean and look white and are hallow.

Also a dog should never be left unsupervised while chewing a bone or even a toy! They are like children and must be supervised.
