Guest Anonymous
Officer Doug Haire left his K9 partner locked up in squad car in 94 degree weather for 3-4 hours while he was in police station drinking coffee and filling out reports. The dog was found dead inside car. The two had jonly been partners for 2 months. After the city council voted to fire Officer Haire over this incident, the officer resigned. It still has not been decided if he will face misdemeanor charges for cruelty to an animal.
Guest Anonymous
Oh my gosh! How sad but how stupid of the police guy! They get trained on how to handle your dog, but that is something everybody knows! Poor dog
Guest Anonymous
Unfortunately he is not the only idiot cop. My previous topic posted is about another incident of a cop leaving dog in car while he was inside filling out paperwork. Seems to be a common trait. Guest Anonymous
You'd think the cop would know enough not to leave his dog.. his partner!.. in the car for that long! it makes you realize how stupid some people can be.

drjeffrock
That is very, very sad. A cop actually pulled over once to talk to me about my Akita. We were chewing the fat, and he told me that many newer cop cars have a safety feature that keeps the air conditioning on for the k9 in the car at all times.
