1. That is absolutely disgusting,I just pray the people who stole them actually know how to look after pups.
2.  She is a hero!!!lol Look at her eyes...she looks so cute and happy with herself,There such great pics! Ihn the first pic her ears are all up and perky then they drop in the last pic...it's like she's just realised she wasnt supposed to do that.So cute! :D
3. Matty is black and white.....Im not too sure about the father tho,i suppose we'll find out if he were brindle if their are some in the litter :D
4. I love puppies!Your baby's so beautiful  I like the name Tia....very cute!
5. Well hopefully one of these days my b/f will gget off his butt and by my a decent digital camera  lolHopefully it will be soon!I really want to show off my beautiful bunch :D Matilda's doing great. She had a bit of trouble with Kellie (my dobie cross) a few dominance issues, but Im working with them on it and they seem to be getting along much better :D . She's lately became very restless and I think she's almost ready to give birth,so fingers crossed the whelping goes ok and mumma and bubs are fine :) bk_blue-The daddy of the pups is supposably a boxer who lives next door to Matilda's old owner....so Im not to sure what the pups will be like at herding  .But I'll let them in with the sheep when their young and see how they go,if they dont pick it up they'll enjoy it anyway :D
6. I really wasn't expecting to get a new dog so soon after Gemma, but my cousin's girlfriend (who's in a rescue) contacted me about this poor girl....and of course i couldnt resist! Matilda a 2 year old border collie, who's heavily pregnant and due to give birth any day now!We picked her up today and she is one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever met! :D Full of doggie kisses and with one of the sweetest temprement's ever! She belonged to an elderly lady who brought her as a pup and couldnt handle her destructive behaviour. She was left in a tiny yard all day with little to no excersise. She fits in so well here its great :D The other dogs all get along with her and she's fascinated by the sheep. When she's given birth and fully fit again we're going to let her play with the sheep, just for fun :) And desex her of course
7. Thankyou for all your thoughts,I really appriciate them. I went into town today and talked to the vet about keeping antivenom in case it ever happens again, and he said he would gladly give me some and instructed me how to do it properly. I'm glad I have this now,it makes me feel better. But i just wish i had gotten it a week before hand. :(
8. Yesterday I let the dogs out in the morning for their usual romp in the grass/potty break when I heard Gemma yelp in pain.I quickly raced out to see what was wrong with my baby and saw her lying on the ground and a brown snake slithering away in the opposite direction. We took her to the vet as quick as we could, but unfortunately the nearest vet is 400km (roughly 4 hours)away and by the time we got there she had already passed to the rainbow bridge    I'm numb right now,I've cried all the tears I could and now there's a dull ache in my stomach I can't shake. She was an awesome once in a lifetime dog and I'll miss her forever
9. Well around here it is most often cheaper to buy from a breedeer,it's just most people are not really educated enough to realise this.
10. That is absolutely disgusting,he should be thrown in jail. What a stupid man, trying to make money from these dogs and then haivng to maliciously kill one. It makes me sick just thinking about it
11. No snow....it's summer here! :D :D But the temps been reaching 38 degrees celcius and should hit 43 in the next few days. If anyone could convert the temp to F it would be great, because I have no idea
12. What a cuite! He looks like such a great little character. If only I didnt live in another country :x
13. I dont think you were overreacting at all! You were complaining about irresponsible breeding. The responsible breeding of working dogs is a different story altogether.
14. I've seen a Rottie/JRT.It looked just like a minin rottie and was unbelievably cute!
15. Yesterday I went into the city to go shopping with my little sister. We parked under cover, but it was still easily 25-30 degrees celcius under there. When we were walking into the shops I saw a small JRT mix in the back of someone's station wagon!!   I was soooo angry, right in the middle of the carpark I started ranting and raving. :agrue: Seriously how could somebody be that stupid? It's on the news and adds on tv not to leave animals in the car because it can get so hot they suffery unbearebly and can even die! Anyway after I calmed down a tad I copied down the liscence plate and marched straight into the information desk so they could announce over the loud speaker for the owner to go and get the dog. I wanted to go straight back to the car and wait for the owner to arrive so I could give them a piece of my mind, but my sis refused to let me.So we waited 5 minutes and went to see if they had left, which they had. Anyway I rang up the police and the rspca with the car's details so hopefully something will happen.I hate seeing dogs left in cars  .Especially when it easily reaches 40 degrees celcius outside.I can only imagine the heat inside the car. Sorry,I just had to rant
16. I definately let them sleep on my bed.Although the kelpies dont sleep on the bed, they actually prefer to sleep together in the lounge room! :-? With the other 5 luck decides who sleeps with us,as the bed isn't big enough for me,my boyfriend and 5 dogs.Whoever gets there first sleeps with me,3 is the limit,no more will fit. They all know who the boss is and will get off the bed if I even look at them the wrong way :)
17. Yeah,I think your right. The dog from Meet the Fokkers is a Brussels Griffon. Isn't Toto from the Wizard of Oz a Brussels Griffon, too?
18. The rareset breed I've ever seen would have to be an Afghan Hound. It was hands down the most regal, beautiful dog I have ever seen. I had the owner bailed up for over 15 minutes just asking questions and playing with him  .Luckily she was a wonderful lady who seemed used to the attention.
19. I have gotten into quite a few fights with people blatantly hitting their dogs, not just a tap or something, but physically hurting them. I think out here where I live the males have to look tough in front of their mates.A whole macho cowboy mentality, and that means not taking any crap, from anybody or anything. So if their dogs disobey them they feel the only way to redeem themselves is to be tough, and hit them.I know they love their dogs,as the most of these boys take their dogs everywhere and openly admit to loving them more then their wives  .But still they have to be big and tough in front of their mates  . Unfortunately I can't shut my big mouth  ,I always tell the boys it's not the right thing to do,it's only harming the animal blah blah blah. But more often then not it falls on deaf ears. :( They almost always laugh it off.
20. Good Luck with the doggies! Happy thoughts being sent your way :D
21. Only two of my 7 dogs are purebred....and the only reason we decided to get a purebred is because my boyfriend needed them to work the sheep. Butch and Sash working Kelpies from champion bloodlines and were hidiously expensive, but worth the investment,as they work their little butts off for us. My 5 other dogs are all much loved mutts.2 were rescues Becka is a GSD/cattle/lab.While Kynan is staffy/lab. Kellie is a dobie x.Gemma is a dingo x and finally there's Milly (a lhasa apso/maltese). Their all awesome mutts :D :D and I wouldnt swap them for anything in the world
