1. I'm against it as well.
I think it is another way greedy people are making money from mix breeding!
Agreed.
2. Mickey uses a regular doggy toothbrush and vanilla flavored toothpaste. He always gives me a tough time though because he likes to lick the toothpaste off the brush while I'm trying to clean his teeth. LuckyChaos, I didn't know carrots were good for a dog's teeth. That's good news, carrots are Mickey's favorite treat!
3. I'm sending some good thoughts your way mouse. Keep us updated on Poppy's condition. *hugs*
4. What gorgeous dogs you have! No doubt the pups will be adorable! Keep us updated! :D
5. I'm sorry for sounding rude but... How could you possibly breed your Pitties (unless it was unintentional and you rescued her this way) if you don't even know the basics like when she should go into labor? I also second that you should already know very well that having a dog is expensive, along with vet care. caring for many puppies will just add to the cost. I really wish you the best of luck with the articles and information given to you but I totally don't agree with this. :hmmmm:
6. Mickey is usually supervised so he doesn't get to destroy much. He has chewed up the window sill pretty bad (not as bad as Horsefeathers though :o ) He has chewed up my mom's flower pot (and gotten to most of the dirt). I'm lucky he isn't too bad with chewing. My dad's main concern with a dog was that it would chew up the bottom of his big screen TV. :P
7. Get well soon Kira
8. Here is your banner!! Congrats! (sorry so big If you want me to resize it, let me know ;)) If anyone wants to get the second part under way, I'm open for entries! :D Thanks :)[/img]
9. But I wanted to congratulate Nostalgia on winning the best coat contest! I wanted to make her a nice banner but my floppy disk drive broke and I can't save anything for awhile :( Anyways congrats and thanks to all who participated and who voted! If I get another few entries we can get a second part to this thing! :D 2nd place goes to Hippo and Jackie, 3rd goes to Licorice and 4th to Abby!! Congrats to you all! :B-fly:

14. Okay, I'm *kinda* new here and thought it would be nice to hear everyone's dog name, age and breed. Just so I can see everyone's dog. Sorry if its a bad idea but it might help me get to know your pets. :) I have only one, an 8 month old Sheltie named Mickey. Your turn :D
15. Here we go! It took awhile but here are the entries. If there are still some who would like to enter, you have one week and if I have enough entries we will have a second part to it. If not, I'll still try to put together a contest for them. :) Thanks to all those who entered and who would be voting. Have fun! 16. Oh Kimmy, happy to see you over here. I'm even happier to hear that everything is alright with kia. Thanks for the warning about PH6. Take care!
17. Congratulations on doing your research! My first suggestion would be to adopt. Check at your local shelters. The dog that may be right for you doesn't have to be a purebred. ;) (Not to say that only mutts get put into shelters. Of course not...) If I were to recommend a breed that hasn't been mentionned,I think a Sheltie fits what your looking for pretty good. They're great companion dogs, smart, active (but those walks you like to take may be enough to tire them out) and get along great with other animals. Of course they are shedders and known to be barkers (however Mickey hardly barks and sheds very little) but I really think that they're great charactar makes them the good pets that they are. Check out those quizzes and good luck! :D
18. He sounds a lot like my Mickey  Maybe a picture would be best though...
19. Your Dobies look so ... so.... majestic. lol Great pictures! Thanks for sharing everyone.
20. Ahhh yes. You entered her in the contest. lol :D very cute!
21. Thanks for sharing your stories everyone. Nancy B, is that your Dobe in your avatar? What a beauty! :o Angelboddy, is that little 8 week puppy the one in your avatar? :D
22. That's a great attitude your breeder has! Mickey's breeder also said she would be willing to take Mickey in if anything. She sometimes houses Shelties from the Canadian Sheltie Rescue and features them on her site to find homes for. She also told us that she could board Mickey if we ever go on vacation which is great because I don't really know anyone who likes dogs enough to care for one. It's been sheer luck that I found her site online but it all worked out for the best! Thanks for posting! :D
23.
I or my friend did not sell any pup til they we're 8 weeks of age. They were just mad because of the fact that i fostered this pup at 5 weeks then at 8 weeks of age I bought her from my friend. I took the pup over to my friends home every couple of days to let her be with the other pups and mom. I just took care of her and made sure she was getting food and the extra care that she needed. I was not planning on buying her, but i got so attached to her that i could not give her up. Even after all the pups were gone, i still brought her over to see her mom every once in a while. But we moved a year ago so we can't see her mommy no more.
Okay. Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure of what you meant before. :D
24. Got your dog from a breeder? Mickey came from a very responsible breeder (I'm very positive of that) but it was only because we had no luck finding Shelties in the shelters. I didn't even know about Petfinder at the time and I really wanted a Sheltie. Anyways, does anyone else have a dog from a breeder? Just curious to know--thanks! :P
