6. riesa: I would have posted pics allready, exept that the server I have my homepage on, will not let me go and upload pictures.
7. Oh, wow! Thanks Kat and bk_blue! What about if Ben starts to growl, bark and see Bella as a threat. What do I do then?
8. Isn't there anyone with any ideas on what to do?
9. I can't stand it!! I have to wait untill the 20th untill I can get Bella. I got pics of her yesterday and she is SO ADORABLE! Her nose has turned from white with black spots to black with white spots and now it's totally black. Half of her face is still white and she's got theese adorable chocolate eyes! And the tip of her black tail is still white! I have to wait TWO weeks!!! Aargh! I'm going to do this kind of "puppy box" of wood on the side of my bed so that at night when I can't check on her, she doesn't go and do her pee-pee everywhere. I'll have her little bed there and the rest of the floorspace will be for news papers (easy to clean up). What do you think? It will be like a box, but without a top or a bottom. Just walls. And it will be a place for her only for the night or if there are a few minutes that I can't watch her. (the idea is to teach her to become house broken sooner) I can't wait to get her home! Does any of you have an idea of how to let Ben and Bella get aquainted? Ben has always been the only dog in the family and here comes another dog. I know he will be angry at the pup for a while and I'm afraid that he'll start to fight her (wich she will have no chanse to win). My mom is more important to him then me (he even sleeps with her). See she does all the good things and I do all the bad things (like wash him, empty his anal glands etc.). So offcourse he goes to her whenever he can. So he has decided that mom can not touch any other dog besides him. He starts to bark and growl at the other dog if mom does that. It is not acceptable with me, but mom can't really say "NO" to him in thoose situations. She doesn't know what to do. Ben has always from the time he was a pup seen me going to strange dogs and giving them a good rub behind the ear etc. So there is no problem if I touch a dog, but mom and dad... he's never seen them go to another dog and make that dog's tail wag. So I'm a tiny bit worried. I know for a fact that when he realizes that Bella isn't the enemy, he will calm down and try and become her friend. So does anyone have any idea of how to make Ben comfortable with Bella sooner? Thanks. /Crest
10. Ben was "fixed" in... hmm... April was it? (do any of you guys remember exacly?) Anyway, he has still got this skin "flip-flop" hanging. It has slowly started to shrink and I think it's absolutely normal. I never even thought that it should "disappear without a trace". He is now two years old and he's not at all calmer. :D He's exacly the same. The only thing that changed was that he stopped marking around and that when he really have to pee-pee he "sits" down like a girl. If not, he lifts his leg up. Heh heh... I rememberd now when he was a pup and for the first time tried to lift his leg. He nearly fell over! :D  And offcourse he got pee-pee nearly all over him. :D It would be fun to know where the both "berries" are put to after removal. ;) /Crest
11. I'll be 18 next wednesday (27:th) so I'm trying to find a breeders course to go to. After that it's papers to the Finnish Kennel Association and hopefully I will have my first litter in 2005. It's strange. Bella is just four weeks (five on Tuesday) and I'm allready searching a little (not seriously searching yet) for a male. I'm just looking at pictures and pedigrees and thinking "hmm... that dog might sire pretty good puppies." I have a couple male dogs that are my favourites allready, allthough I haven't seen them live yet (just pictures). But I guess I have two years on me to search. AND things can still go wrong. See I want to breed a completely healthy girl with a completely healthy male. And I allso would love it if one of them would have a Ch. title. AND they both have to have a good pedigree and bloodlines. Plus a good temperament. This is pretty tough to find and if Bella does become in my eyes perfect (healthy, good temperament and good body) and I find an equally good dog then I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Mabye it's just wishfull thinking because nobody's perfect.
12. If he looks great! If you ever get a picture of him after he's been groomed "show dog style", then please send it to me! I love his ears!! :D
13. No, actually they SHOULD be very healthy. This breeder (who's page I first found out about this) has just had bad luck I guess. But I don't think it's only Crests that can have this problem, it must be other breeds too, but if there's no-one who knows about it then it must be that when the breeder finds out about this, he/she just "helps" the puppy to go to doggy heaven.
14.
(Crested, I can always put what you said in a translator!)
(kough, kough) I forgot about that...
15. riesa02: Ihanaa, pentuja! Mullakin on hirve
16. They are born with it, but it gets noticable in about 4-5 weeks of age. Some that are born with it don't even have an ear canal and moast of them are born deaf in that ear. Because I'm very interested in breeding and genetics, that's why I would want to know more about this. I'm a very qurious person when it comes to something that I feel passionately about (like Chinese Cresteds). Please, if anyone has a clue about this, tell me! (On the same page there is a story about a dog that didn't have any tear glands (http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/2169/taffy.html). Talk about a breeder that's seen everything!) /Crest
17. Rowie: Hmm... I don't know about the bond thing between my dad and I... You made a pretty tough question. He's away so much and... hmm... Wow... That's hard. We aren't THAT close, but we do get along (sometimes). Dad likes to be "the man of the house". You know, the one that makes the last decition wich drives me mad. This has really pushed me away and I must say I'm jelous with people with good relationships with their dads. I've tried many times to get through to him in various topics, but I've never succeeded. He still is against the whole puppy thing and thinks one dog is enough, but I've told him that I AM going to get the puppy no matter what he says because: 1. I pay for her myself 2. I bathe her AND Ben and do everything myself 3. The only thing mom and dad have had to do with Ben is to go on a few walks and give him food. I've done everything else and I'm still going to do everything with this puppy too. I allso told him that saying no to this puppy will just drive me away faster. So unless he wants me to move much quicker then I normally would, then he should say yes. So he did. But he's not that... hmm... happy about it. But it's true. If he would have said no, I wouldn't have sayed at home for that long, because I can't in that case find any way to understand him. And another thing. He doesn't even remember when I was born (the date). So... I can't say I know if dad and I have a bond or not. I'm much closer to my mom, but it's sometimes hard to get through to her too. With her I KNOW I have a bond. /Crest
18. We were and took a peek at my little hairless baby girl last saturday and then we went to one of our relatives to spend the night and the next day. Yesterday we came back. On our way back we took a breather at this one place. After a while a woman took a stop allso with theese two Dobermans. My dad whisperd to me: "Let's get out of here. If thoose dogs see Ben, he's finished." I didn't understand what he ment. The dogs were minding their own buissness and doing their "buissness" in the high grass. I asked dad why he wants to go and the anwser was: "Dobermans are vicious". I got really angry, but did as he said, because I didn't want to make a scene. I told him that the only reason why people have got the idea that dobermans are vicious is because of idiot dog owners that don't train their dogs. A dog that isn't trained, that doesn't get exercise or company will get vicious. ANY DOG! Shape or size. He didn't say much to that. He just said that if they would see Ben they'd kill him. FROM INSIDE THE CAR?!?! Argh! How can I make dad understand this?! I must confess that I try to avoid bigger dogs then Ben when I'm out with him, but not because I'm afraid of them. It's because Ben is afraid of them and because I can't know what kind of nature that sprcific dog has. Ben doesn't need to get any more afraid of big dogs then he allready is. He's started to become better now and I don't want that he should face that kind of horrific situation that he did when he was a baby. But tell me, what should I do? /Crest
19. I was just (again) surfing on Chinese Crested pages and then I bumped into this page http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/2169/closedears.html. I started reading it and started to wonder where they come from. I tried to make some research, but haven't been able to come anywhere. Do you have any idea of where this comes from? Ben doesn't have this problem (or the tiny puppy of mine), but I'm still very interested about this. I haven't heard of any CC's with closed ear canals here in Finland and I hope they don't even show up. It would be good to know where they come from thou. Any ideas?
20. Rowie: Click on the UK (England) flag on the first page (http://personal.inet.fi/koti/crested) and then on the left sidebar there should read Guestbook and below it: sign and read. Click on sign to sign the guestbook, write it and press "submit". Not that hard... ;)
21. sheltie: NO WAY!!! :o Did you get a chanse to download the patch? I didn't! I didn't have time to download the patch so the computer's been away today to be fixed. Wow... this virus must be really spreading.
22. Isn't she pretty?? I haven't been on the computer the whole day today because I got this weird virus yesterday. It's a completely new virus that attacks only Windows XP's and it was released YESTERDAY. Geesh! The computer went wild. I had it on for 5 minutes and then it turned off (there came a clock that counted back from 60 seconds to 0 before it closed). I didn't know what was going on, so I sent this peace of (beep) to a computer fixing place and they updated my virus programmes and allso got rid of the virus. It wasn't the destroying type... it just made it impossible to work with this machine. Oooh... I've been missing my computer this WHOLE day! FINALLY I CAN USE IT AGAIN!! (kisses the computer screen) /Crest
23. She's now THREE WEEKS OLD! This weekend I'm going to take a peek on my baby girl! I got some more pictures today too. She's SOOOO cute! There's pretty many pics of her and her sisters and brothers. Ooh... I can't wait! :D /Crest
24. Aargh... I'm waiting on getting more pictures, but I haven't got them yet. Her eyes should open any day now... I'm so exited!
