Do you have your dogs teeth cleaned?

The post about teeth is making me think about having my dog's teeth cleaned under anesthesia. I took my dog to the vet last week and he recommended it somday. He also gave me some dental kibble for use as treats which supposedly clean teeth. Anybody use something like that?
