There are a lot of good PitBull breeders, you just have to look for them. Are you looking for a show quality pup? I bought the dog to the left from a breeder in Cali.(Showtyme Kennels) and I am expecting another pup from a breeding from Pits of the Century in California. If you don't want to spend the money on a show dog, they may have a pet quality dog that they are willing to sell for less money. And pet quality isn't bad, they might just have something like a bad bite or two different colored eyes. But they will still be UKC registered and will come from champion bloodlines. As far as shipping is concerned...my pup was shipped in the dead of winter. I was so afraid of her freezing, but the lady at the ticket counter assured me that the area that she was in was warm. And when the pup had a layover...the lady told me that a lot of times, the airline employees will take care of the dogs (give them fresh water, clean their crates, etc). When we picked her up she was fine. I wouldn't be too worried about shipping.

That was me with the last guest reply...sorry!

I think shipping is fine as long as they have like a pull over on them....when the plane goes over 10,000 ft it is 32 degrees or lower in the bay of a plane...If they have a pullover like I said and blankets and it's a short flight they should be fine!

Many animals have been fine, but i do recommened insurance from the breeders or who ever...becuase the airline WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.....sooooo....

This info came from a past airline ground load master (the one that loaded the bags/animals/caskets/ect. I have heard VERY INTERSETING STORIES!) 8)

They are not hard to find at all especially in your area I see 1610 listed at www.petfinder.org (not counting the ones listed as other breeds or simply as terriers) with 38 listed in all parts of MO (again not counting the ones not listed as pit bull terriers)

I don't think so. Here are some in Missouri that need homes...

From what I see there there are plenty of pit bulls in Missouri, and there's plenty of variety in color... Black, white, red, fawn, fawn & white, red & white, black & white, dark brindle, light brindle, blue brindle. There's different sizes, and some are cropped if that's what you like. You can even choose between pups and adults. If there's not any you like there, there's probably one in a state nearby... :)

Goeydog, from what I can see you are going to be a gREAT member to have hear on the forum! You have shown that you are a lover of the bully breed and you wanted to help a person find a pit but even better a sheltered pit! Your the best!
