Guest Anonymous
Awhile ago, I sumbitted a post about training my dog out of her crate and separation anxiety. Well, we still crate Cadie while we are gone, but we got her a new crate. The old crate has a solid top, but she could see out the sides and front. The new crate is more open on the top and sides. Is it possible for a dog to be claustrophobic?

My theory is unless you have to ship the dog, or have central air conditioning  then a wire crate is the way to go - they fold down smaller for travel, they allow air circulation in warm weather and if the dog prefers an enclosed den you can always drape a blankie or towel over it!
