  4. Jackie..hit 3 times and still around to talk about it? Are you sure your not a cat!! Wow, amazing and so scary. Did you feel your hair stand on end like they say happens before your are struck? My yellow lab hates the rain thunder and lightning, will have no part of it, the chocolate lab loves the rain and is not bothered in the least by thunder or lightning.

  8. I am doing that this weekend.. but that doesn't solve the problem as to why he is constantly itching. I have not changed his food, or introduced anything new to him. It has been ongoing since he had the yeast infection. I called the vet and asked for more medication (pills) and he is just finishing his second round of drugs. Still itching..
  9. Those neighbors need to take a trip to see the great "Wizard of Oz" to get a heart!!!

  11. Before you send the letter there are a few typos, see me and I'll show you, other than that go for it.. if he has any compassion at all it will make him look at all sides of the issue and keep and open mind. Good job!!
  12. I have a 12 year old yellow lab, who all he does it itch himself. I have had him to the vets and had a yeast infection and was treated for it. That smelled horrible. He has been off the meds and is still scratching. I am not sure if the smell is in my carpet from when he had the yeast infection and he was rubbing his face on the rug to itch it, because I smell him and he doesn't smell bad. I'm losing it!!! I just don't know what to do with the itching. I know he does not have fleas. Any ideas?
  13.   How sad, being the owner of 2 labs, I could not even imagine the pain she is suffering. My hearfelt wishes go out to her...

  16. I agree, something will be done before this ever gets to MA, Free, Patti and Asim have nothing to worry about....If needed we can pass Asim off as large gerbil, after all he drinks from a water bottle!! Don't worry!! It will never happen!!
  17. Thanks so much for all you info.. I will let you know how it works!!
  18. I give my dogs brewers yeast and garlic pills everyday. I know a police officer and he told me that is what they give their dogs to prevent fleas and ticks, and I must say it works very well for me. Is there a secret to getting them to eat the cabbage?
  19. Thanks, I will do that tonight. Will lettuce work as well?
  20. Cabbage??? Really??? Will that give them gas??
  21. My 12 year old lab has been scratching all the time, he recently had a yeast infection, he had lost hair under his neck, underneath what I call his armpits. the spots were slimy, smelly and the vet put him on an anitbiotic. Cleared up, he is back to itching, on the meds again, still itching, no slimy thing going on this time, I am not sure why he is itching so. I have not changed his food either, I used frontline on him last month. He hardly ever gets ticks, and does not have fleas. He is driving me nuts itching, I can only imagine what frustration he is feeling.
  22. I guess it's normal then, so I will let him continue. I will just make sure he throws it up before I let him in the house. It only takes him about 5 minutes before it comes back up! My chocolate lab, Chubbs is starting to do it also, he doesn't eat as much, and doesn't throw it up. I don't have fertilizer on it, so I hoping its safe for them. Thanks everyone!
  23. My dogs throw up everytime they ingest grass. My husband keeps telling me that he saw on a dog show that they feed on grass because they have an upset stomach, it's normal. I just can't believe that. It almost chokes him when he throws it up.
  24. What is up with eating grass?? My 12 year old yellow lab Scrappy was outside the other day eating tons of grass!! I would not let him the house until he threw up which he did within a matter of minutes. I have never seen so much grass come out of a dog's digestive tract. Why do that do that?
  25. That teacher needs to be "gutted"!!!!!!!!!!
