1.
hey jen- how's your new girl doing? okay with all the other dogs?
also Laylah has bonded really well with the rest of the family (me, kids and hubby), it`s as if she`s always been here :D I`ve been doing some basic traing at home with her (as she`d had none before she came to me), and she`s coming on in leaps and bounds :kciuki: I started taking her to training classes this week at the man who runs it was very pleased with her progress. Everything is improving greatly in that area, especially the way she listens to me (which is the key to any training) and her lead control, she was a nightmare on the lead, but now doesn`t pull and is a pleasure to walk with. I`ve got her to recall really well, to the point that i can let her off lead in the fields where we walk the dogs and let her off, and no matter where she is or how far away, i call her and she comes running back straight away. There`s loads of other stuff....to much to type  She`s doing fantastic when you think she hadn`t even had any basic traing before she came to us, and i think you can probably tell that i love her to bits already :iloveyou: She was definatley meant to be a part of this family :D
2. marble Laylah (my new rottie) is doing great, thanks  my yorkie terrier, Joe excepted her straight away witout even a growl (he`s a sweet boy) :D Shaddow, my lurcher cross grumbled a little for a couple of days, but now they`re the best of friends, playing together and stuff (really sweet together) :D But Barney my JRT has taken a lot longer to except her. He was doing a lot of teeth showing and growling for at least a week (little devil), but he`s coming round to the idea now. he`s virtually stopped all of that and has even started to play with her now when he gets one of his daft moods on. :D But they all sleep together with no problems, eat together and go out to play together and go for walks together really nicely now. :klacz: So it`s really going well. :D in fact as i`m typing this Laylah and Barney are asleep together at my feet  thanks for asking marble
3. night Marion, sleep well
4. i`m sorry to say but you`re gonna out do me tonight as i`m feeling tired for once  and am going to go up to bed now. talk to you tomorrow (my fingers are still crossed for Rosie`s results) Catch up with you tomorrow....good luck :D
5. oh that is good news Marion, i am pleased. Sounds like she`s doing much better :D it sounds like your mum had a good time even with the hairaising ride
6. hi well Laylah did me proud tonight at training. The man at training called mark" was fantastic. he got Laylah and i working so well together it was amazing"" :D He used positive traing only (which is good as that`s the only trainig programme i wanted for her), there`s no shouting at your dogs, no yanking them about. it`s all gentle and positive approach :D in the end she was doing so well that when a new exercise needed to be demonstrated he kept borrowing Laylah :o  , which was nice. He was over the moon with her and needless to say so was i , she didn`t do one thing wrong all night.......WHAT A VERY GOOD GIRL :iloveyou: :laola: :laola: so i`ve now got shaddow my lurcher booked in for agility and flyball on sunday, and Laylah and i are back on wednesday again....can`t wait :P
7. i`m so sorry to hear about your mum`s conditions, i feel for her as when you can`t breathe it`s one of the worst things as you don`t know when you`re going to be able to breathe properly again.BLESS YOUR POOR MUM. But i can sympathise with you about the weight of those oxygen tanks as i have to have them too, for when i`m at my worst, i keep them in a very tall cupboard in my bedroom, and yes they`re very heavy. poor you draging those things about...you must be worn out when you`ve done all that. :D how is your mum at the moment? :D
8. glad to hear your`re feeling better now, let`s hope your on the up and up now :D i knowwhat you mean about afternoon naps, i have to have them too. i haven`t had one for a few day`s but today after me and jay (my hubby) got back from walking the dogs this morning i had to have a couple of hours. I had cancer and had a hysterectomy late last year, which i`m still recovering from, also i have really bad asthma and have to use a nebuliser (a machine that you plug in the wall with a mask) it helps you breathe. So that tends to catch up with me some days too. You made me giggle about Rosie`s bald spot (i hope you didn`t spend too much at petplanet  ), i`m so glad it wasn`t what you thought. I`ll be keeping my fingers crossed for Rosie`s blood test results  Let me know what happens....i`ll be thinking of you all :D
9. you have a good point there Marion
10.
It's the only time you get isn't it Jen, we're so busy during the day, although I do sneak on for a minute or two but late evening all is peaceful and quiet to do your own thing. :D
Your spot on there Marion :kciuki: Nice to see you online tonight.....how are you feeling...and how`s Rosie? :D
11. i know what you mean about dogs eating the most disgusting things coz two of my dogs Barney and Laylah are obsessed with eating rabbit poo...not just the hard little pellet type droppings but the more sloppy ones. We keep rabbits and those two dogs go around the garden hoovering up the rabbit poo ..........it`s disgusting. But what`s even worse is that they are that obsessed with it that they go to the rabbit hutches and pull the poo through the wire and gobble it up :o :niedowiary: :grab:
12. they`re evil and sick
13. well everyone`s in bed asleep in my our house ....except for me....i get to play on the computer  it`s 11.04pm
14. the most wierd thing is they all come and sit by me at the computer, fart, then go back in the other room :o what`s that all about?
15. i think i need to give those biscuits a try aswell as it`s usually just Laylah that`s the culprit for those evil gases  , but i`ve got all four of them playing musical farts tonight......... :grab: :Help_2:
16. gorgeous pic of the two of them together :iloveyou:
17.
Frodo likes to take his food out of his dish and eat kibble off the floor too. Funny because if he won't eat....I toss some onthe floor and he gobbles it up. I think he thinks it's a treat :P
 yep two of my dogs do exactly the same thing!! Joe my yorkie terrier and Barney my JRT  Also Shaddow my lurcher cross always burps really loud after his meals   my rottie, Laylah seems to be quite lady like until about an hour later, then she start breaking wind like a man :o and boy do they smell :scared:
18.
:fadein: Thank you everyone for sharing such dear stories and feelings. I know that no matter how hard my day has been, what kind of mood I'm in that my babies will love me and want to make whatever is wrong better, I see it in their eyes. I love all of them so much and am so glad that there are other people in the world that feel the same. I wish everyone could experience the love that there can be between a person and their pet.
never a truer word spoken rosebud :D
19. never a truer word spoken rosebud :D
20. i feel exactly the same coutnek, i also go to my dogs when i cry, but you can gurantee they come to me first the minute they think i`m upset, and come and lick, cuddle and comfort me....how special is that...how lucky we are...bless their little hearts

22. yes still pic posting thanks to you :D couldn`t resist the michael jackson pic   glad you liked it :D
23. i`m glad what i said helped. I can`t speak for others, but i am just the same, Bronwin and Ben went to the bridge nearly 4 yrs ago and i can`t tell you how much i miss them. I look at their pic hanging in the house and just burst into tears, or certain songs that remind me of them (as they both have special songs each) plays and i burst into tears again.  i don`t think we ever get over them Marion, we just learn to live with our broken hearts
24. oh thank you crested, you have really put my mind at rest,i think we`ll go ahead with it now. we were supposed to be speaking to him about it tomorrow :-? i feel a bit more confident about it now, thanks again :D
