1. Thats the only thing I hate about the good weather, all the glass and litter everywhere. During the winter months the only walkers seem to be dog walkers then the sun comes out and back comes the glass and litter. Roll on the winter again!
2. These people are sick morons and should be PTS
3. Sorry Mouse, I should have known you were only joking, I thing I must be getting a bit sensitive in my old age! Hope you will forgive me.
4. No I'm not doing that to get extra paws, I wouldn't do that, that was a nasty thing to say  I was just wondering why sometimes I'm logged in automaticly and other times as a guest would somebody please tell me. :o
5. Whats happening about Haley?????
6. I think she just loves you so much that she wants to please you and protect you and make you better when you hurt. One of our labs is just like that. she will sit looking at me with a real look of love like she's obsessed.AAH :-?
7. It's me again! Do I lose out on paws if I get signed in as a guest? No wonder I've only got one paw, Is it my fault?
8. I just posted that last reply but got signed in as a guest, I thought that I was automaticly signed in :(
9. My husband gets mad when he sees me spending so much time on the computer so I have to sneak in when he goes out!
10. The grapes that killed the dog were green seedless
11. :driPersonally if I hear anything is bad for dogs I don't chance it after all the dog doesn't know :drinking:  nk1:
12. I do read the post every day but don't always post. I shall have to spend more time
13. I don't know if this will help but vets can do allergy tests by taking a skin scraping , it isn't cheap but you will then know what your dog is allergic to and it will probably cost a lot less in the long run. :fadein:
14. Why not garlic? Our pet store sells doggie garlic capsules which work well in preventing fleas ! :o
15. :smiThat was my first thought too, good thing really, at least it't treatable. :D lecolros:
16. How do I get more paws???? :P :) :o
17. I wouldn't let her jump about if I were you, a dog that I walk got spayed and obviously felt alright , the owner let her jump on the bed and the sofa. Well the next morning the dog was showing pain and wouln't get up or eat so the owner took her back to the vet who found that she had torn all the inner stitches so it was back on the opperating table. I'm just telling you this because some people don't realise there are stitches inside that can come apart. The best of luck for Friday, you ARE doing the right thing having her spayed :D
18. We have laminate flooring but had to cover most of it with rugs because Lucy our oldest dog has bad back legs and can't get up on shiny floors, there's no grip. Also the two young ones scratched it while chasing about playing.
19. What is happening about Haley???/
20. I can never see why people have dogs if they are left outside all the time, surely a dog is part of the family and should live with thier family. We always have our dogs inside, they are properly trained when they are puppies, they have the run of the house and the garden (which has a wall round and locked gates so nobody can get in).they are taken for 2 good hour long walks a day and are very happy dogs! As for chains they are dangerous to dogs, I would never dream of chaining a dog. If you want a dog you should think of it's security before you get it
21. Grapes and raisins are toxic to dogs, the vet told me he had a case where this dog had eaten a pound and a half of grapes which had affected it's liver and he died. Some dogs can't tolerate cows milk but others can, apparently goats milk is better for them it hasn't got this particular enzyme in it which tends to upset dogs tummies. Onions and mushrooms are also bad for dogs. All these things were told to me by a vet so I should think they are true.
22. Read my post which is in the topic Ben R.I.P it might help
23. I've just got back from scattering little Daisy's ashes in her favorite spot where we used to take our daily walk, Daisy wasn't my dog but I walked her every day for 13 years and stayed with her frequently when her owners went away, everybody thought that she was my dog,we had a great bond. Unfortunately she had cancer, she was on chemotherapy for 2 years but eventually it stopped working and she had to be PTS. I do miss her so much but at least I was there for her on her last day and I was the one who scattered her ashes and planted a little plant for her. The only thing is I thought she would go on forever but it wasn't to be. I know how you are feeling right now and the hurt doesn't seem to go away. Perhaps Daisy and Ben are playing in doggy heaven right now, I do hope so. Keep your chin up, we are all thinking about you. Pat
24. You cant send her back to a home like that, thy obviously dont love her otherwise they would have done all they could to keep her well, poor little thing she really does need another home or you to keep her. Tell your friend she could get prosecuted for cruelty for treating a dog like that, it might put her off having Hayley back with a bit of luck! Keep us informed and hold on to her as long as you can.
