Like I posted, I have been "in the breed" as an owner for 46 years (my dad had APBT all of MY life) so is she has more time in the breed than ALL of us put together, she msut be older than the pope!! :lol: She may have experience with MORE dogs than all of us do but we (for the most part) aren't breeders nor do we work for them so that point is mute. None of that is the point, who cares who has been where longer?? What difference does it make in relation to Primmy and her "love of the pit bull terrier"?? Debby

I am against breed bans. However, bans of pit bulls, in particular, are happening all over the place and will inevitably happen many more places (everywhere, eventually, probably) if something is not done to curb the problems pit bulls have and cause. People who really care about pit bulls, as opposed to caring about irresponsible peoples' rights to breed pit bulls indiscriminately, understand that the main victims of the pit bull crisis are pit bulls themselves. They want to do something about it. My suggestion (and nobody really has a good reason why it shouldn't happen, other than that they want irresponsible breeders of pit bulls to be free to continue to breed pit bulls) is for the responsible pit bull community to support the enactment of laws calling for mandatory spay/neuter of all unregistered (AKC or UKC only) pit bulls. If this were enforced 100%, the pit bull crisis would stop pretty much dead in its tracks. Even if it were only sporadically enforced (say, when the owner of a human aggressive pit bull advertises the dog at stud, bragging about his "manstopping" qualities), it would be a totally positive thing, stopping SOME irresponsible pit bull breeders and not hurting a single responsible pit bull breeder or owner. Pit bulls would not be slaughtered in shelters by the tens of thousands. Some children would live who otherwise will die in the jaws of irresponsibly bred pit bulls. Responsible pit bull owners would not have to live with the very real prospect that their dogs will become illegal at any time and/or that their insurance will be cancelled. The pit bull community can complain about how "unfair" it is that they are targeted with such "breed specific" proposals, but the alternative to doing something like this is doing nothing and waiting for the breed ban to happen where you live and pretending you don't know about the thousands of pit bulls that are slaughtered in shelters and the thousands more that live short, miserable lives owned by horrible people who want dogs as weapons, either against people or other dogs. At Patty's Dog Park, where P-diddy floated here from they DO censor posts. Everyone's but HERS!! I was only able to post on that board ONE TIME before I was put in a down-stay & my posts never again reached the board. That is because the admin there pees all over herself every time Primmy posts lies about pit bulls. Debby

Munkee does it also but he does it as a way to calm himself down. He gets SOOO excited when he sees his mommie (now if I can only find a MAN like that :wink: ). I almost ALWAYS have a 20 oz. diet coke bottle in my hand & there have been times where I forgot to bring him an empty one & he has grabbed the full one out of my hands, punched a hole in it & ran through the house spraying the walls with diet coke. I've never seen any thing other than a solid color poodle ( that I am aware of....I have a tendancy to confuse ungroomed poodles wtih other dogs), they sound really pretty. Debby

Also, I do not live alone, my 22 year old daughter & my 55 year old brother live with me. There are plenty of people in my home to cuddle who ever wants to be cuddled. I don't think I could handle all three dogs by myself, but then again, if I were by myself, I wouldn't HAVE 3 dogs. Debby
