  1. Thats what i thought. It would be stupid to pass on those traits. I guess her breeder wasnt as reputable as I first though :(
  2. I have two staffordshire bull terriers who are both awesome! :D My eldest is 2(Brindle) and the youngest is 1(Lolly-Pop),their both girls. But my youngest one is very dog aggressive. She's fine with our older dog (although even as a puppy she has always been the dominant one) and the two dogs who live next door to us.An 8 yr old boxer/staffy female and a 4 yr male cattle /border collie. But when it comes to other dogs she becomes aggressive.Although she hasnt got into a fight yet. Even when we took her to puppy school she wasnt able to play with the other pups because she was way to aggressive. We know she has this problem so take extra care not to take her out where she can come into contact with other dogs and generally make sure she doesnt get into trouble. But the breeder we got her from expects her to produce a litter(she was sold to us with a contract stating the breeder was to have a pup). I've talked to the breeder about her dog aggressiveness and she says Lolly-pop will be fine with her own pups. But Im still not quite sure,I dont really want to pass on her aggressive nature. Dont get me wrong,I love her to pieces and she is very people orientated and adores everyone. She's probably the biggest people loving dog I've ever met!
  3. It's very strange looking, and i dont really think it looks real actually.
  4. I was watching some 'hollywood style' type show last week and they had a segment on about top 5 celebrity pets and who owns them. Of course I sat down to watch and ridicule the program for promoting these dogs (I can't help it Im a cynic  ) Anyway, the first 4 dogs were the maltese,Chihuahua, yorkie and toy poodle. And the whole time I was whinging to my sister about people buying these dogs on a whim after seeing this show and wanting to be like celebrity's. But then I was plesently surprised when the number 1 dog was.........rescue dogs!It was really good, actually because the show ended up promoting saving a dog from a rescue :D . It shut me up for a little bit
  5. My childhood dogs were all mixes,General was a staffy/lab mix.Bella was a cattle/GSD.Rudolph was a corgi/jack russell and Charlie was a husky/border collie. They were all wonderful in their own way and brought years of joy.I love mutts!! :D
  6. Although I do love all dogs, and i havent really come across a dog I particularly disliked,I have to say there are just some dogs that don't fit into my lifestyle. So I wouldn't look at owning one. I've always thought great danes are absolutely wonderful.....but their size is just way to much for me to handle. That probably goes with all the giant breeds,I love looking at them and seeing how huge they are,but these gentle giants would reak havok in a small house! Kelpie's are really beautiful and extrenely smart, but because of that reason i don't think I could raise one properly. If I was going to get a kelpie I'd have to have a flock of sheep for it to play with, too  That goes with the other herding dogs, like the blue cattle and border collie, too. Although I love tiny dogs,(my ultimate would be a tibeten spaniel or papillion  ) I wouldn't own one until after I've had a family.I wouldn't exactly trust my kids if they were anything like i was when i was a kid  .Not mean or hurtful just a brat!
  7. Thier beautiful little dogs,I have to admit I''ve always wanted to own one.But thier really rare where I live, but their absolutely beautiful.
  8. I saw an Akita at work once, the woman who owned her was suprised I even knew what an Akita was! He was so beautiful and regal!
  9. Congrats! Can't wait for pics.
  10. I was talking to my mum about this topic, and she told me about a corgi/German Sheperd she had,who looked exactly like a German Shepherd, but mini!I thought it would be so cute! :D That reminded me of my uncle used to show and breed German Shepherds, had for more then 20 years, and one of his litters had a dwarf pup,who had gland problems so didnt grow properly.I cant remember what happened to to the pup, though. :-?
  11. My auntie lives in Bulli! :D Its a great little town I used to live a little more South then that Stanwell Tops,so yes that statement runs: true I think everyone has either lived in the 'Gong or got friends there! Your right about the pig dogs, the first, and only,Pit Bulls I ever knew were piggers! My cousin owned a few,I was only a little girl when this happened, like 6,so I assumed it was normal and the done thing. But looking back on the stories of the poor dogs being mauled and killed I literally feel sick  .But for a long time I actually though Pitties were breed to hunt pigs, but I know different now. They lived down the street from me,and the female dogs were continually pregnant  ,but as a little girl I thought it was great to play with the beautiful puppies! :D It was fun for me as a kid,and I never thought of Pit Bulls a vicious,or dangerous,as I grew up knowing the true beauty of the Bullies free from accusations and sterotypes.

  13. Yeah thanks for the info Nookie,it really cleared it all up for me! :D Aroura, actually not long ago I was looking to get a Pap from Quinvale,I emailed them and I enquired about them, but I realised it wasnt the right time to get one(im doing year 12,have a part time job and play club and rep soccer)I want to be able to commit 100% of my time to a beautiful Papillon,so within the next 10 years Im sure I'll adopt one! For now I'l have to get by researching about them, and looking at pics(including your beautiful babies! Oh,this is knid of off the topic, but I used to live in the 'Gong! :D
  14. That is the most awesome news i've heard all week!!! :D :D :D YAY!!!!
  15. We took Nans 18 yr old cranky feline to meet the poodle today. At first they just sat there, not doing anything. :-? Eventually, though the little poodle went over and sniffed Pumpernickel, who didnt like that, but all she did was growl and angry kitty growl, then the Poodle got the message and walked away The RSPCA attendant said the meeting went well, and seeing Nan's fallen hopelessly in love with the little girl, the adoption can take place! :D :D Nan will be able to take her home next week, but for now we are thinking of names for her.I think a name like Tripod would be cute, but my dad say's it to cliche.Whereas Nan wants a really cute girly name, like Fifi or Lilly. Suggestions please! :D :D :D
