1. Its hot out, so Caeser needs to be inside alot with me today. I needed some creative indoor activities for him, so I thought "Why not art class ?" I got out some child-safe, non toxic ink, and put it on Caeser's paw. Then I gentley put his paw on the paper. Then a washed his paw well afterwords, and gave him a treat for his hard work. :D It turned out pretty cute, like he finger painted. :D I'm trying to find a few more art ideas. We're going to keep trying with the ink. Anyways, what do you think? Anymore indoor ideas?
2. Thank you. She wants to press charges on the driver. O.O He had a funeral.
3. Thank you. *hugs*
4. Thanks Kiwi. Don't worry, I will. I like your post.
5.
ok I see your point. they have run roughshod over you, and I understand. I am Court there. PM me if you need help, but trust me. If you really need help, without all the bashing, come here. I TRY to help newbies there with real problems. but there is no real sync. for Sync, come here. 8)
That's wonderful of you to do, Court. I remember you from PF. I'm taking your advice about putting Caeser in timeout for a little while. Thank you. *hugs* It feels really good to have someone understand. Thank you.
6.
U guys crack me up. I am laughing so hard I'm crying..... "Amen" simply means "I believe"...so not necessarily religious, so go for it K!   actually Kitty, you want to see what REAL infighting looks like? Spend some time on Petfinder.....man those people will sometimes rip you a new one if you disagree with them. its much nicer here, in my opinion. yea, we spar, but it doesnt usually get to nasty levels, and everyone is entitled to their opionion... and besides, anyone who gets out of line too badly gets K-slapped...being the recipient of some of those, trust me, you dont want to go there....
Actaully, I came here because there was so much crap going on there. I got flamed near to death because Caeser is outside sometimes.
7.

I have seen so much flaming, and so many fights, I am in awe. :o I'm disapointed in what has been going on. Please follow this advice.
You've been a member for like 2 seconds. If you don't like this place, find a place more suitable for you... You often throw in your "opinion" TELLING us how to behave on this forum... If you don't like it... GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!
 Sorry..I just wanted to help.
8.
well, not necessarily, and here's why. Now Kitty, dont get upset, but you have a pack problem with this dog. He should NEVER growl at you, whether you be putting on a leash or taking his food out from under him. I mean NEVER......he may have been perfectly behaved at training, because the trainer is recognized as high above him in the hiearchy, and thats what he needs most. leave his leash on him inside at all times. find a place for "time out"...in another room where you can enclose him either behind a baby gate, or tether his leash to a chair. when he disobeys, try regular commands such as "sit", "lay down"...run him thru a short obedience course. treat him when he obeys, the better the behavior, the better the treat. hot dogs and cheese work well in this scenario. if he GROWLS at YOU, about ANYTHING....time out. seperate him from you and everyone else, and leave him there, minimum of 15 minutes. the worst punishment in a pack is isolation. it is the one thing that tells them straight out "I screwed up..." you need to be alpha to this dog, without hurting him. its safer for everyone that way.
This is excellent advice. Thank you. I plan to use it. But first, sense Caeser is outdoor alot of the time (we are trying to change that) does he think of this as punishment?
9.
I have to agree with K. If he has had classes, shouldn't he listen to you no matter what? Zeus is outside & yet he still listens to me inside.. If you didn't take him, then he should be listening to your parents instead..
I took him with my parents.
10.

He already graduated Obedience Training.
I must admit I am confused by this...if you have been to what 6 weeks or more of classes...and he has graduated from the class...why is it that he still is not obeying you in the house?...what exactly did you do at the classes...bear with me because we dont have that sort of things here...
Its a Basic Class, and it was 8 weeks. I practiced with him everyday. I'm not sure why he is still misbehaving. He learned "sit, "stay", "lay down", "settle", "leave it", "come", and not to pull on the leash.
11.
When you say he's "off leash" in the house, does that mean that the leash isn't attached to him, or not attached to you? When he's loose in the house, leave his leash attached so that you can grab it easily if you need to instead of having to actually attach a leash when he starts behaving.
That's a good idea. Thank you. I mean the leash was not attached.
12. Thank you very much everyone. I'll tell her as soon as I can.
13. ...and its going awful! I'm trying to crate him for the night, because he is making a huge rucious outside. I have to admit I don't trust him enough to let him sleep in bed with me. What do I do? :o He's whining and barking like crazy.
14. Thanks, K.
15.        I think so!
16. Thanks guys. :)
17.       That reminds me, I was looking on a shelter website, and it said a black cat was a terrier!
18. I see your opinion, and believe me, I respect it. I want you to feel comfortable with debating, but I want it to be done in a more civil fashion. No swearing, anger, or anything of the like. I just don't like how people get so upset.
19. I'm not sure if we were supposed to anwser these, but I wanted to, so people could see my perspective on the questions, even if some are hard to admit. (These are in order) I don't chain Caeser, I believe that is cruel if done for longer then an hour. I am just crate training Caeser. I only keep him in the crate for an hour at the very longest, so he can learn that its comfortable in there, and safe. I do not leave Caeser inside uncrated. This is not a good idea, with my boy. He gets into everything, and even though he is adult in size, he is still a puppy at heart. This is the hardest to admit. I do have Caeser outside unsupervised, but for much less time. I don't have a choice. Caeser lives outside, but not 24/7. We're trying to change that. We have a fenced yard. I believe its ideal to have your dog indoors. No, I would never have an intact dog. Caeser is altered. Caeser was rescued from a pound. I have no idea when he was fixed. Most likely before adoption, around 8 weeks. I have a mutt, and I'm proud of it! I perfer mutts. They are usually rescues, or strays, and they are thankful. They are generally more intelligent, because they have the temperment and skills of more then on breed. They are unique and one-of-a-kind for looks and personality alike. I hate the "designer dog" idea. What a load of cr@p. Raw food is bad for dogs, so no, I would never feed it to Caeser. I have no really good sercure for Caeser in the car. I'm trying to find a good barrier. I just use natural collars. No prong, choke, or anything of the like. Caeser is vaccinated annually. Caeser isn't a pittie, but if he was, I would not, no. Caeser raelly doesn't like tennis balls, so not really. I do not throw sticks for Caeser. Pieces can break off and get caught in his throat. I don't believe in breeding dogs. I don't believe in shipping at all. Its dangerous, and scary, not to mention boring for the puppy. Cropping, docking, and debarking is cruel. Its unnatural. If your dog is not a show dog, its not nesasary(sp?). Game test? I have no idea what that is. I don't walk Caeser as often as some people do, but its cruel not to walk your dog at all. Caeser graduated Basic Obedience class. My parents don't understand dogs very well, but do what I ask for him to their limit. I'm a student as of now, so I'm not away that long. That's all.

21. Thanks for all your sympathy. *hugs*
22. Of course I will. Thanks.
23. He already graduated Obedience Training. I let him off leash yesterday for half an hour. He was good for awhile, but when I tried to put his leash on, he went back to doing the same old thing. I'm keeping him on leash for a while. He'll stay in the crate for an hour at the most up to this point. I'm going to start feeding him inside soon. I'm just going to keep him on leash for while.
24. It is very sad. She lives far away, and just a little while ago she said I might get the chance to meet him.
25. I will as soon as she has recovered enough to talk. Thank you.
