i thought border collies were only black and white??? :o I dont know ??? :oops: :-? well i dont know much about that breed. i would have thought they were austrailan shepards. learned something new today :D :lol: :fadein: lol :D they are really cute and look fluffy.

Well i dont think she gets thoes test done i dont know but she has a small run and she had to get a job besides being a groomer. I know my husbands sister watched her dogs when she went on vacation and one little dog had its foot caught in the bottom of a wire cage. i had to go over and get it out. It was like she was walking on the wire and the poop just falls through like a rabbit i didnt like that. i thought that would hurt my feet. thats how the cages were stacked. her house smells like wet dog smell. and I saw one little dog lift up its leg on the wall and pee. Nobody else noticed that he was doing this. I just think she went overboard just for the money. she once told me when i had a boxer puppy i should show it and i could make money off of the puppies.

There is a pet shop in the area that sells puppies. I hate that but thats not the worst part. They are in small cages and there is no price on the cage. You have to hold the dog befor they tell you so we held one and the price for a boxer puppy was 1,695 kinda high for petshop. well i went home and called them pretended that i had boxer puppies to sell ( i didnt and if i did never to petshop) well they said that they will give a akc puppy 100.00-150.00 for a puppy. That is crazy!!! they even showed me when i was there the pedigree of the dog and it wasnt akc pedigree it was like a family tree paper the champions were in red. I just think this is a little fishy. They now have finacing available. I think if you need to finace a dog then you cant afford it. payments are ok but finacing??? this is petland ever hear of it? when it first opened people were picketing it but that hasnt stopped them form having dogs. Now they started having mixed breed dogs that were for a save a dog program and they are 200.00. i just feel sorry for these dogs. also the people that are buying from there. for 1695 you should be able to met the parents of the dog. well sorry so long i am mad at this place...

I think my husbands relative is a puppy mill or byb. she has alot of dogs like 20-25, they are small havanees (sp?) and she has some shizues and some egyption dog little one. like a farow hound. she cuts hair also and she breeds these dogs. she acts like she knows what is always going on with them. i think it is more for attention. She charges 1,500 a pup for the havanees. She does show them and wins titles on them. but why so many. they are always in the kennel or in the crates. I just think she possibly cant know any of there personalities how would she have time??? I know she gives the shots her self but dont know what else they get. well what do you think???

Well she is doing really well. Had to hide the cat food because her nose was on it. She has been going outside so far havent found any suprises yet. She wants to play with the kitten but the kitten isnt too sure yet. She is a shadow always right behind ya. She sure is a cutie pie.

bailey is home now yeah!!!! sthe kids really like her. she is a shadow. I thought she would be a little bit more tired sence she just got fixed yesterday but no she is full of it. The kitten dont know what to think of her yet. I see them playing together pretty soon though. she is getting used to her collar and leash now. well ill post pics as soon as i can figure it out. if anybody can help me let me know thanks.

thanks i will do that. i didnt buy her a collar yet i want to take her with me to the pet shop so i can get a good fit. we have some leads that just slip over the neck and i will use that till i can take her there. i could just measure her neck also. how much should i add to the measurements? i dont like those plastic clasp ones they break, but she will never be tied up just on a leash and i dont trust them. also she has some fleas not alot i saw one on her so should i get some advantage at the vet? and do they make it for that small? do you use that on your dogs and puppies? well let me know. thanks again! this place is a great thing!!!! :D

NO we didnt get her. she was already adopted when i went to pound in the morning. so she was saved so that is great!! Bailey the puppy is getting fixed monday morning and we bring her home on tuesday. so i cant wait!!! I keep telling the kids to make sure all there stuff is picked up so that they will not be mad when the puppy chews on it. lol so they are picking up there toys better. yes!!! she hates the leash. She will tug at it and get all winny about it. i think all puppies are this way. well i hope i can lean how to post those pics soon.

great news the beagle was adopted!!!!! i went to pound in the morning and some lady was already looking at her. she adopted her!!! :D I know that i probubly whould have got her but at least she was saved!! so it was a good day today. PEPSI found a home!!! yeah!!! well after the one post about the two females fighting maybe it was better i didnt get her. i am just glad she was saved. we will just get our puppy and love her to pieces!! she is getting fixed on monday and we will bring her home on tuesday!! I cant wait!!! she already giving kisses!!!

the pound said she was good with them and kids. they also said she was keeping cage clean and was housebroken. ill see tommarow if they will let me see what she does when the puppy is out with her. well if it dont work with me i was telling my dad about her and he is intrested. so i think he may get her if i dont. that may be a better idea and my puppy can play with her then. well thanks just trying to save a life, also i will see how she acts around my kids.

when i was going to spend time with the puppy beagle i adopted at the pound I saw her. she is on her last days. she is only 6 months old a corgi beagle mix she is 15 #. so i wanted to know do you think she will get along with the puppy?? has anybody adopted 2 dogs at once?? i called and they wont put her to sleep in the morning. friday was her day to be put down. that is tommarow!!! said her family gave her up cause of allergies. she is great with kids as they had kids. she is housebroken as well. help cause i need to know so i can save her life!!!! i have a pic of her but dont know how to put it on here????[/url]

I am sorry if i made it sound like Boxers are a bad dog. They are not. It was this boxer. I dont want anybody to think that. They are a loving breed. I just happend to get a bad bloodline i belive. And for the dog that breaks your fence have you ever met the dog?? Just make sure that the owner does pay for his dog breaking the fence.

i went to pund today to visit the new puppy. she is so cute!!! i got to take her outside and she even went pooopooo! i told her that she was a good girl. we have to wait till 27th to be able to bring her home. she still needs to get fixed. the name that won was bailey. so she will be named that. she even came to me when i said her name. i cant wait till i can post some pics of her when she comes home. i hate going to the pound :( i could have brought home so many dogs. i saw a lady bring in her cat cause it has too much hair??? duh it is a cat. also a lady found a little docie cockerspainal looking dog that she found along the road in my town. i bet someone dropped it off. he was trimmed all over had bald spots like someone gave it a hair cut and didnt know what they were doing. i hope that dog will find a owner. i was glad to see the brittiny spaniel got adopted. now there is still a jack russle and another beagle and a lab and some mixes left. i hope they all find a home.

if the dog was just dog aggresive i would try to correct it but if the dog was human aggresive i would pts. i was just attacked by my boxer. He went off at me without warning. he got my nose, arm, left leg, back right leg and butt. i got stitches in each place. i am just glad this was me and not my kids. he was put to sleep humanly. i just couldnt have him being so unpredictable. sad huh :(

i dont know what ironman said i cant see it. but i take it that he looked at the link and didnt like it. i read it and decited not to LOOK. i have seen too many shows showing that. i didnt want to see it. so yes i had a CHOICE. it said that it was what it was and warned you about it. i have seen so much already. went to landfill when i was just a kid and dad was taking garbage there. he told me to get back in the truck, yelling at me but it was too late when i looked down i saw dogs and more dogs in the bottom of that hole. try explaining that to a kid??? i still remmber the big german shepard that was in there. gives me chills. and yes you need to know these things happen so we can fix the problem. NOBODY on here hates dogs and that is not why it was posted. it was posted so people know what and how bad the pet population is. AND that we can all start by helping it someway, by adopting, supporting, fixing, and educating and i think thats what the post was doing.

thanks guys. i know that it was hard all that had happen, but that is what i need to do. and some day i may be able to get a new boxer. but not right now. the beagle will suit us well. i love that boxer pic. that is a brindel on right. that is real light red. we had one of each first was fawn and 2nd one was brindel she was reverse real dark. they are a very pretty breed. and yes probubly still my favorite breed. so see i dont blame the breed at all. well thanks again.

yes we had a boxer befor my daughter was born levi( sorry i am about to cry :cry: ) he was the best dog ever he was 2 when our daughter was born. they loved each other they played with the sprinkler together. he was her brother i always said. he died from heat problems at 7. that was 2 years ago. we got another one and his line was bad i belive. i saw his mother and she was nice. later i saw the grandmother and she was hell on wheels. she was acting like she was gonna eat the fence. i should of looked into it more. i never saw the father. i guess this place was a byb. i didnt know much now i do. i think though i will not get a boxer for a very long time, because nobody will ever live up to what levi was to me and i think i was trying to replace him and i cant. so we will get the beagle puppy. And i know that this should be the best for me and my kids. thanks and if anybody gives me any grief ill send them to you lol!

so puppies eat cate pads so i shouldnt get one? what about a towle in there? she is only going to be in there at night and for about 20 - 30 min in the day. husband leaves for 2nd when i get home and about a 20-30 min space between. i am trying to get list made and all the things i need now befor we get her. also what is the best way to block off a cage. i think the one we have now is 3 foot long 2 foot wide and 2 foot tall is this too big for a small beagle mix puppy? i just dont want her to go potty in the cage. also i should leave water in the cage or not to leave water. food probubly wont be left in there because of the short time she will be in there during the day.
