1. yay! frenchie puppies!!! Our girl will be bred in January/February and I can hardly wait... Cute pups, feel free to send one my way! I could use another frenchie to show *smile* Jennifer
2. Cirneco dell'Etna and frenchies!!! Total opposites, and the best of both worlds ;-) Jennifer
3.
freaky lil dogs http://dogbreedinfo.com/miki.htm
Ha, yes.. but cute in a creepy sort of way ;-) And EXPENSIVE!! I talked to a breeder at an IABCA show about 3 or 4 years ago, when the breed was still very new. And according to her, a female with full breeding rights was $7000!!!
4. Sounds like it could be a Mi-Ki, they have their heads shaved, but have hair on the body.. Jenn
5. Well some of the breeds are quite rare. We have a SLoughi and Cirneco dell' Etna, both are listed on the site. There are about 200 sloughis currently in the US, with only 1-2 litters in north america per year. And I know with the Cirneco, there was recently born the first litter ever here in Germany. SO both breeda are far from common.. Jennifer
6. *sigh* My personal favourites are: "What track did you rescue her from" About my BIS Sloughi bitch.. who is NOT a greyhound.... and "Was she abused??" No.. they are naturally skinny.. It gets on my nerves the # of people that tell me to feed my dogs more... Jenn
7. I have had sighthounds since 97 You can see my current 2 here http://geocities.com/archetypekennels We have a litter planned for this summer with our Cirneco dell'Etna, I am quite excited! We had planned on breeding SLoughis, but our girl, who is the top winning BIS bitch in breed history, is sadly now blind from PRA so was spayed at 4. We also have an Azawakh coming at the end of the year, if the breeding goes well! So we will have a house full of skinny dogs, aside from my husband's french bulldog anyway *grin* Jennifer
8. Greyhounds are beautiful, and i love saluki/greyhound cross lurchers! I do not have either though, but I have other sighthounds... a sloughi an a Cirneco dell'Etna ;-) Jennifer

I will have a look at the other topic, it is always nice to see other frenchies. And I do not have a problem seeing the photo from geocities on the forum, so i have no clue...... Jenn

You are welcome! I hope it works out, Gideon is a cutie. We had to buy our girl that little spiked collar, she is just so tough, haha.. But she does have a cute face/expression, it is hard to get mad at her when she looks at you so cute! Jennifer

here is a photo of our girl: Frenchies can have some potential health problems. Most responsible breeders test hips, elbows, heart and knees. Some also test thyroid, eyes and vWD. They can also have elongated palates which can cause breathing problems, and make them intolerant of heat. http://www.frenchbulldogrescue.org/ Resuce often has dogs needing homes. Also the yahoo groups are also a good place to talk to frenchie people, as a lot of the good/responsible breeders in this breed are NOT members of the breed club. Hope this helps! Jennifer

Greetings- We have a 6 month old Frenchie that we hope to start showing soon. They are very fun dogs, and also quite stubborn! We looked for a long time to find a breeder we were comfortable with, then had to wait even longer for a female pup to be born. The breed has quite a few potential health problems, so be sure to only buy a pup from health tested parents. Best wishes from Germany Jennifer & Fleur de Baviere the french bulldog
