3. I have been taking handling lessons and the obedince trainer at the facility has a Pyreneain (SIC?) Sheepdog, that dog looks like him, and sounds the same size too!
4. :x http://www.dogbarter.com/dogaddtl.aspx?id=1321&userid=1500 this person is claiming to have purebred Rare Rottweiler Pit Bulls "German Guard Dogs"

BAN-DOGS

Bandogge, not really a breed in my opinion, its a cross between a Rott and a Mastiff or Bullmastiff i thought... but this person, timbos 13, says APBT and Presa Canario. So im not sure any more.
6. i know someone who is single and has 2 kids (5 and 7?) and 3 ofthe shelters wouldnt let her adopt becouse of the young kids and the fact that she dosent make lots of money, she had owned a Rott/Boxer mix and he had died at age 14 almost a year ago, so even if she dosent have lots of money she cared for that dog. So she didnt want her kids (and herself) to not have a dog. She ended up buting a Basenji pup from a pet store... if the shelter had let her adopt a dog a life would have been saved, not wasted.
7. sadly they see their dogs as working animals, they get sick you just put them down:( Thank you for the advice!
8. sry abou the double posting!
9. I am going to visit some relitives in VT this weekend, my Rottie, Annie, is on the heart guard heartworm preventitive. 2 dogs at my relitives have heartworms. What are the chances of my dog getting heartworms if she comes with me? Hiow are they contracted? Even with the heartguard can she still get them? Is it safer just to leave her home?

11. Thats a good one, if any of you have ever read the book What MY Dog Has Tought Me About Life you will see a similar funny story!:)
12. now thats not fair. I have a wonderful Rott and my parents first Rottie was a shelter dog. I have been bit by only one dog out of aggression. It was A Shih tzu from the pound. SO maybe all Shihs arnt safe. Who knows? You have to meet each individuel dog. Not just the breed. Sadly many shelters just put Rotts and Pit Bulls down becouse people wont even consider them. The dogs dont deserve this..
13. What breed is Tyr? Im asuming he is a Border Collie. BCs or not as prone to hip dysplacia as other breeds, and they are very active sometimes too much for their own good! I would ask the vet about it, see what he thinks. Consider your dogs backround too. If he is an AKC dog you should be able to tell if his sire/dam are tested for OFA or pennhip
14. before considering getting a wolf-dog go meet somone who breeds these animals. Spen a lot of time with them, considering traing, socilazation, and your home owners insurence getting cancelled.
15. its really not fair to judge the breeds like that. If both are of good breeders and have plenty of doggie socilazation.
