Hey, You did a better job on her then I did on Lucky :D He always gets these burrs (I think thats what their called :-? ) in his tail so I cut his fur. Mom was really upset, cause she likes his tail natural for some reason. Now I can show her Hazel's picture.

Well I've decided to keep his name. I really don't want to confuse him to much ands he's finally started to listen to it. he got in a fight with Lucky this morning, not a major one and both of them are fine, but I really dont want this to turn out like what happened with Koda (A german shepherd we were looking after, they got in a really bad fight with a little blood) But I don't think it will.

Hmmmm that gives me an idea. I'll breed Lucky and Chaos together and call it Golden Collie Lab! Think of all the money I'll make! And of couse I don't have to get the dogs tested for problems, give them sufficent food or water or vet care because I'll be rich! So what if Chaos is only 5 months, she'll be fine! And who cares how many good mutts there are out there.

Actually it wasen't me who decided to keep him. I of course wanted to keep him since I found out he was abandoned but my parents were like, no way two dogs are more then enough! But he's so sweet that they couldn't resist him.

Hey maybe i should call hime Lucky.......When I call him both dogs will come running :D . Do you think it's too late to change Chaos's name to Lucky as well?

If we don't find a home for Ike (the stray dog I found) in the next couple weeks we're gonna keep him! I love this dog already. He follows me everywhere I go. Here's a cute picture of him. Those poor dogs...............I wish I could buy them all and find them homes, but once these were gone, more would be bred :cry:

Problem solved! Before I fed him I got him all excited about dinner by saying; Lucky are you hungry?! Who wants dinner! Mine, I'm gonna eat it! And he dug in. As soon as he tasted it he was like Oh my dog! human food! and he's been eating fine since then.

Actually Holz I didn't see it. It was a storey I found on a dog site. I was at school when I first found it and started bawling my eyes out, and everybody kept asking me whats wrong.

Well looks like the poor boy was abandoned. Called the vet again and gave them the ID # and they found the phone number. it turned out that they made a mistake last time. my dad called the number and told the person I found their dog. He denied ever owning a dog then after a few more minutes he said he sold the dog to a friend. But he can't remember who he sold him to! he told us he didn't want the dog back and just to get rid of him :x. I did get a little infomation about him though. His name is Ike, and he's about 1 1/2 old. He was sold as a purebred labrador (he's obviously not). I'm pretty sure he was ignored for the better part of his life. Now I'm not sure what to do with him. I don't want to get too attached because we'll probally have to find him a new home. but it's really hard. He's such a sweet dog. I can't imagine how anyone could just abandon him like that.

We were at the park this morning and Chaos picked up a dead pidgeon by the wing brought it over to me dropped it and sat down. I wasen't sure weather to praise or yell at her!

I was walking through the park yesterday when this dog came up to me and dropped his stick by my feet. I picked up his stick and threw it. he brought it back again. after about 5 mins I looked around for his owner. I couldn't see anyone. Thinking he'd wandered off and someone was looking for him, I walked around the park but no one said they'd seen anyone looking for a dog. The dog just followed calmly behind me. I was there for over an hour, asking everyone i saw and no one had ever seen that dog before. Finally i had to leave, but the dog followed me right out of the park. I took him home with me. he had a collar on, with a rabies tag. I called the vet's number on the tag and told them the ID number. they said that they had no record of the tag. Today we took him to the vet to scan for a microchip. he didn't have one. i'd like to find his owner if he has one, I've started making posters to put up. He's seems house trained but not obedience trained. He's also not neutered, but gets along fine with my dogs. I'm not sure what to do with him if he's a stray. Fortunately my parents are dog lovers as well so thay say we can keep him until we find his owner. I'm not sure what else to do do find his owner, exept maybe call the local shelters see if anyone's reported him missing. I took some pictures this morning, I'll post them soon. He seems like a pretty happy dog.

I think unusual names are cool. Lucky's would have been more unusual but I was 8 at the time. And Chaos was already named by the animal control and it totally fits her personality.

I read somewhere that neutering at an older age will not change the dog much at all because he's already mature. It will probally stop the marking but the dog's personality will be much the same. Unless you can put up with the marking and the hassle when there's a female around I do suggest you neuter him.

My neighbours have a golden retriever named Tyr....they also pronounce it teer.

Never heard of it, but it should have the ingredients right on the bag.

*sigh* Why do people insist on making new breeds, there are enough great breeds already. APBT and mastiffs are already great breeds on their own. There is no need to screw them up by creating a new breed.

Chaos is only 4 1/2 months old and she already howls at sirens and when they are testing the fire alarms.

I just fed my dogs a BARF diet for the first time this morning. Chaos loved it, dug in and ate everything. Lucky ate all the veggies but refused the meat. He's always been fed cooked food before so he's not used to it, but I would like to know why he won't eat it at all.
