  1. i agree with training for new owners before they get the dog or puppy. then later with their dog. for heavy fines for owners if their dog attackes anyone.
  2. maybe she is afraid. one of mine will just freeze if she is afraid. take your time try making a smaller course that might work :) :) :) :)
  3. i agree with k and i would also go back to training classes. good luck
  4. i do not know. is it the minature pei.if so it will grow but not to the full size is that a photo of the pup you are getting jasper
  5. my shar-peis are good with other dogs and chilren. health and good temprement was the most important to me. the breeder socialized them before she sold them to us. i take them out every day they enjoy meeting other people and dogs while we are out.
  6. :) :) just been and had a look took a test. quite interesting.
  7. my dogs enjoyed him they ran around looking for the dog they could hear :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
  8. :) i have not got any. oh good i have just got my first one
  9. i think its all a hoax. josh could have been mary before. someone who is board winding everyone up
  10. :x maybe these stories should come up on other sites as pop-ups. hopefully on this site we are not the owners who would do this
  11. i have three. the one in the picture is twelve in two weeks. the other two are seven months old. i am not a breeder just a pet owner. i would only get a puppy from a good breeder. she should be available to give advise when you are worried. a puppy who has had shap-pei fevers must never be bred from. good luck
  12.  mine try it on too. they enjoy being lifed. they like to pretend they are tiny puppies again
  13. when you have a little puppy. he takes ages to find the right spot outside to do his duty. stiffs around everywhere. in the house its done as quick as a flash. without a single sniff. my dogs are ok now they are house trained :P
  14. i agree that two meals a day is plenty for a year old dog. only younger puppies need more
  15. i am very sorry. 11 years is a very good age for a shar-pei. we lost one of our shar-pies with kidney failure last january she was only 4 years old. sometimes we have to be brave for our dogs
  16. my six month old shar-pei puppy is having trouble now. i have to wash her leg every 4/5 days in the solution. i have been treating her for two weeks now. i hope it clears up soon
  17. of course i thought all pet lovers did.
  18. :D :D very good any-one who has tried will understand.take the puppy on a walk first but not too far do not want him to fall asleep. he may be less hypo-active if he is tired easyer to work with
  19. yes i agree with you i can not understand it either. i get very angery with people who do that. they should think very carefully before they get a new pet : :( :(
  20. when i first got one of my puppies he had a spell of eating stones. i would put my finger in his mouth to poke it out. one day to my horror he had a live snail in his mouth. he grew out of it. he is the grand old age of six months. house hold salt works to kill them but once it rains. you need to put more down.
  21. we have three shar-peis the elderst is 12 years old next month she has cost us a fortune over the years tearing toilet rolls.a small price to pay for the pleasure she has given us
