1. I called city hall and urged them to fire this guy! The number is 931-526-9591. Shooting the dog was horrible...but remember...discharging a high-powered rifle on an expressway was stupid in itself. The bullet could easily have hit a passing motorist.
2. I can not bear to watch the video...but it show a bull-dog type dog....not very big...coming out of the car and turning to his family with his tail wagging. The jerk cop at once points at the dog and blows his head off. My brother has been a cop for 30 years...I am not anti-police...I just hate the rogues like this moron. He should not be a cop.
3. good points...let me know I want to help too. I am sich of the bullies in blue who act like this. They are the minority and disgrace all the good police officers.
4. :agrue: Sorry...but I can not see or agree with your point. The family TOLD this moron in blue they had a dog, they asked that the door be closed...this was not done. The dog was romping about and wagging his tail. Does that sound like a "killer" dog to you!!!! The cop had other options such as allowing the family to corral the dog. He selected instead to blow the poor animal's head off! I fail to see why you seem to think this was justified.
5. I think I would have been ashamed if I were the owner. I would not have stood by and watched my dog struggle for 15 minutes.
6. :D Whatever you get...please save a life and make it a rescue dog. now....as to breed...standard poodle of course :P :BIG:
7. :-? I just realized...I have six rare dog breeds...very rare since they have all been tutored. One is a border collie and German shepard mix...think I will call that a Arkansas sheollie. Now next is a rottie and chow mix...must be a choweiller...have to work on the others. One is a malamute mixed with....????...terrier.....lets see...that could be a Giant Yapper!!! WOW...JUST THINK OF THE POTENTIAL!!!
8. errrrr......ahhhh...my crossbred post was meant to be a joke. I share the disgust with those who really make up these new "rare" breeds....for $$$$
9. Crossbred Dogs Pointer + Setter Poinsetter, a traditional Christmas pet Kerry Blue Terrier + Skye Terrier Blue Skye, a dog for visionaries Great Pyrenees + Dachshund Pyradachs, a puzzling breed Pekingnese + Lhasa Apso Peekasso, an abstract dog Irish Water Spaniel + English Springer Spaniel Irish Springer, a dog fresh and clean as a whistle Labrador Retriever + Curly Coated Retriever Lab Coat Retriever, the choice of research scientists Newfoundland + Basset Hound Newfound Asset Hound, a dog for financial advisors
10. I often wonder where in the name of God is the "humane" in humanity. I can not understand how some can just dump there dog....I think you have their number...if you get my meaning.
11. A chained dog is potential victim for loose dogs and the suhumans who like to torment, poison and torture dogs. Most of the time chains tangle and the dog has little mobility. In too many cases this can result in death or injury from strangalation or inability to get out of the elements. Dogs are wonderful and I wish that all who love them could have one..but having one is a privilege...not a right. If you do not have the facilities to properly house the dog, you should not get one. You might wish to consider a small house dog or a cat.
12. Sorry...but I have to side with the shelter here. Life on the end of a chain is no life at all. It appears that is where you were keeping the dog since you seemed to indicate the dog "could not stay inside nor did you have a fenced yard". You said the dog chewed through its collar???? I really don't understand how this could happen either. I presume you mean lead or leash...did you have the dog tied up at the end of a rope? Sorry..but I would not adopt a dog to someone who does not have the facilities to keep it except tied up.
13. Those poor dogs in the Flea Market did not get in their sad condition over-night....it sounds to me as if the vet is an idiot and now playng cya! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
14. THIS IS NOTHING BUT A DAM# PUPPY MILL!!!!!!!!

Attack dogs

 To add to what has been said....who in their right mind goes out and buys a "attack" dog when they have NO experience with handling them, have a child and...just why do they need this dog? In my mind, attack dogs are for the military and police.
16. What is the difference among an moral idiot, a cockroach and a puppymill breeder? And the answer is ....not a da*# thing!!!! These money-grubbing slugs are disgusting!!!!
17. The Farm Bureau is not content with telling lies and using scare tactics. We found out that they took a $5,000 donation from the Cockfighters association. The money was for helping defeat this much needed bill. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THIS GROUPS HORRIBLE TACTICS!
18. Please help! The Farm Bureau, which is really nothing but an insurance agency, is telling the most outrageous lies and scare tactics on the farmers and ranchers...for example: If we make animal cruelty a felony....you will 1. be in court for shaving your cattles 2. castration and depolling will be illegal 3. you will go to jail for killing a snake 4. this will stop animal research. (this is covered by Federal law) NONE of this is true...the ONLY ones we want to go after are the sub-human slime that torture animals! The ACT very clearly states that normal farming and ranching will not be afected in ANY way. The Farm Bureau has a long history of being against just about everything... 1. Safe Drinking Water Act (to lower the amount of arsenic allowable in the water from 50 PPM to 10 PPM) 2. numerous environmental protection acts 3. a voter protection act...will have to the right name I have a friend who is a judge who hears child abuse cases and another who is a child psychiatrist. Both have said it will be a tragedy for the children of this state if this act is defeated because of the strong link between child and animal abuse. (about 88%)
19. ooooops meant to say it was a RARE dog...yep very RARE...and Cute!!! :P
20. I believe it is a rate Portugese palace Dog. Those wonderful little dogs were the rage in the court of King Charles. Ladies of the court would carry them around in their large sleeves. The dogs could only be fed off silver plates!
21. wOULD EVERYONE PLEASE E-MAIL THIS TO EVERYONE THEY KNOW THAT IS IN ARKANSAS! (ooops sorry for yelling)
22. My fellow doggers.....all of you with the best intentions are making ONE very basic error in judgement. You believe people like this mental troglodyte is simply misinformed or misguided and when reasoned with might understand the wisdom of your words. These subhumans do not want to reason, the very tiny amount of brain cells they have are not open to reason. They want to make your angry. They want to upset you. They are parasites that feed on this. YOU ARE GIVING THEM EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT WHEN YOU RESPOND! If you really want to shut them down and have them slime back under whatever rock they slid out from....IGNORE THEM! They well may respond with guilt trips and more outrageous statements boiling up from their sick minds...but if we ignore....they will go away!
23. You might try a citronella bark colar...not a shock one though!
24. Please pass this on to anyone you know that is in Arkansas. URGENT: Please forward this email immediately so we can reach hundreds of thousands of Arkansas voters with this simple electronic message asking people to vote YES on Act 1 to stop animal cruelty. VOTE YES ON ACT 1 THE ARKANSAS ANIMAL CRUELTY ACT TO STOP EXTREME FORMS OF ANIMAL CRUELTY *Act 1 increases penalties for extreme and malicious cruelty to animals, such as burning puppies or tossing animals off of high buildings. It does not alter the misdemeanor law for less serious offenses such as unintentional neglect. If voters pass Act 1, Arkansas would be the 38th state to adopt felony penalties for extreme animal cruelty. *The measure also takes aim at the gruesome and barbaric practice of cockfighting, where sharp knives are attached to the legs of roosters and they hack one another to death for the amusement and illegal wagering of spectators. Dogfighting is already a felony in Arkansas. Cockfighting should be, too. *Act 1 specifically exempts legal hunting, fishing, and livestock practices. Respected retired justices from the Arkansas Supreme Court have stated that the measure was carefully drafted to protect farmers and hunters. The Arkansas Democrat Gazette stated in its endorsement of Act 1, "This proposal to stop animal cruelty has nothing to do with farmers or hunters or other law-abiding folks....It's aimed at the kind of people we should all be afraid of. The ones who kill and torture for fun." (4/1/02) *Mountains of sociological evidence show a linkage between extreme cruelty to animals and domestic violence. Child and spouse abusers often begin with cruelty toward animals. Extreme animal abusers are a menace to society, and they should get more than a slap on the wrist. FOR MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT: Citizens for a Humane Arkansas P.O. Box 30340 Little Rock, AR 72260 Phone (501) 455-9661 Fax (501) 455-2269 http://www.humanearkansas.org PLEASE VOTE YES ON INITIATED ACT 1 ON NOVEMBER 5TH!
25. :( I am not sure why so many otherwise bright and caring people want to demonize PETA. I do not agree with all their postions and methods....but for the most part I am in agreement with their positions. 1. Fur belongs with the original owner. 2. Animal cruelty in any form is wrong 3. Spay and neuter is a must I do cruelty investigations in a small town and I assure you they are a big help in a very polite and proactive way...not radical.
