1. My first ever childhood dog was a Blue Cattle cross Border Collie,im sure it had a bit of Kelpie and Dobe in it as well. Beautilful black shaggy beast who ran the roost of our property, played soccer with us,joined us horseriding, motorbike riding, fishing, camping, anything really..Couldnt have found a better dog for our family! Now Im in the process of my Nan (hopefully!) adopting a Poodle cross, with 3 legs.Beautiful little dog with personality plus. I have 2 purebred Staffies but that doesnt mean I dont love mutts, too :D The Staffie just suits my lifestyle better!
2. Had-my two Staffordshire Bull Terriers.Although they both have complete opposite personalities,my older one is so placid, loves absolutely everybody and wants to do nothing better then please you, whereas the younger....puts 'terror' in terrier rushes around at 110 miles an hour does things then asks questions later, complete idiot really, but i love them both more then anything!!!! Wish-Papillion,pretty little things with great personalities, and smart too!
3. HAPPY GOTCHA DAY!!! :bday: :bday: :bday: And may you celebrate many more!
4. What a cutie!!!
5. Thanks for all the great advice! :D I actually sat Nan down in front of the computer and made her read all the posts, she's going a bit blind  , but she read them all and after more talks, more reading and still more talks she agreed it made sense, she still liked the idea of a puppy, but I was able to get her to go to the RSPCA with me and have a look and talk to the people who work there!!! The woman we talked to agreed that Nan should get an older dog.We looked at all the dogs,it broke my heart  ,I wanted to take them ALL home. There was a cute black Poodle cross which was approx 8 years old, with only 3 legs.Nan fell in love with her,so did I.I think her motherly instincts kicked in.We played with her and she was affectionate and seemed to really click with my nan,but nan didnt want to make a decision right then. But fingers crossed!!!!! Oh,and I voluntered to help walk the dogs and clean out cages and stuff for them!I've always wanted to work with animals and this seems to be a start.Im so happy!!!!Yay for me! :D
6.
DalmatiAns aren't a giant breed either. (Sorry to nitpick, but I hate seeing Dalmatian spelled wrong, my personal pet peeve. ) Hahahah thats fine, thanks, though.Im one of those people who likes everything to be correct. Now I'll never spell it wrong again! :D . Thats like when people say ROCKweiler instead of Rottweiler,I always correct them!!
7. I already have two Staffies but I'd love to add a pitbull, german shepherd, great dane and a papillon. I know the papillkn may sound strange :-? . But I've always thought they were so precious . And they ARE the smatest toy breed! :D Unfortunately it's a bit hard to find papillon breeders im my area  Oh well,I'll have to keep looking a pictures and dreaming, for a while yet anyway
8. I was just playing around with this and wondered what it would say if I wanted a GIANT breed. GREAT DANE-Yep,beautiful,always thougt they looked elegant and regal. DALMATION-adorable and(I know this is bad)I always kind of wanted one after seeing 101 dalmations  ROTTWIELER-Muscular and intelligent,my aunty had a gorgeous one and I always loved the breed but then I got a totally unexpected one,not really like any pof the others CORGI-WTF :-? Am I wrong or arent these the LITTLE cute 'queen' dogs?
9. My grandma is thinking about getting another dog after her beloved Fox Terrier passed away.Tilly was old,and didnt really get enough excersise as it was nan has arthritic knees so cant walk very well.I walked her whenever i visited but she was really old, like 16, so couldnt handle more than a run in the backyard any way. But now my nan wants another Fox Terrier pup,Im trying to talk her out of getting a puppy, imagine how many hours of excersise that puppy would need! And I dont really want to spend all of my time walking nanna's dog, which I would do because I couldnt stand to see the poor thing go without. Not to mention toilet training ,taking it to puppy school and making sure it saw different situations/people to get properly sozialised!Nan wouldnt be able to handle it. So I suggested Nan go to the RSPCA and get an older dog,one who has already been trained and assesed.Nan wont listen to me though, grrr  She wants to get a pup,who hasnt been 'messed up'.I've wasted many hours talking to her, trying to make her see. She wont pay any attention to what I've said, any suggestions to make her change her mind,or do you think she should be able to get a puppy like she wants?
10. It breaks my heart to see these poor animals treated so badly,I want o just cry  . But it alo makes me determined to tell every person I can about the terrible puppy millers. My mother gets annoyed because just about every body I meet get the 'puppy mill' lecture. But I think if there is one less ignorant person (ignorant about puppy mills) it's going to be harder for these monsters to sell the poor puppies for mega $$$ to unsespecting buyers. These people have to be shut down, and people have to know to NEVER,EVER buy puppies from places like these!I know, myself included, people want to rescue the poor little babies, but doing this is just feuling the fire.
11. I was looking on this rare breed http://www.rarebreed.com/breedlist-frame.htmlwebsite and i just thought some of these breeds arent so rare Like the Kelpie,Im from Australia though,so maybe where the site is from there arent a lot And American Pit Bull Terrier,I never really thought these were rare, but hey But there are some breeds I've never even heard of!I mean theres a lot I havent even heard of,and I thought I new a lot about different dogs  There are some names I wouldnt even dream of being able to pronounce,Hanoverian Schweisshund,Fauve De Bretagne.

13. http://www.petnet.com.au/selectapet/dogselectapet.html A quiz to see what sort of dog suits you.I've got two beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terriers, who I think suit me perfect! But the test suggested a Corgi or Blue Cattle :-? Never would have thought of them, but anyway :D
