1. I live in semi-rural Australia,so the most popular breed out this way is probably kelpies or blue cattle dogs. There's also alot of border collie/cattle's. When I work(in a drive-thru take-away fast food shop) I see mostly staffy and staffy x's.Its great!I always comment on how great they are,and it's a lot better to hear then the stereotypical negative comments.
2. I really think i may have found the cutest puppy in Australia! :D http://www.petrescue.com.au/view_pic.cfm?animal=896y I hope someone else thinks so,so the sweetheart gets a loving home
3. I agree with everything you say about him!I didn't know his show was cancelled...but that is great news! I remember hearing him talk on a local radio station one day,he was saying how cross breeds make great pets (which of course is 100% true!! Gotta love mutts!)But then he went on to say people shouldnt de-sex them because they are great breeders. Well if there were no dogs in the RSPCA or shelters this might be the case...but he should advocate people adopting all the already bred abondend cross breeds before creating more! Dont even get me started on his puppy mills.....
4. I dont really advocate Burkes Backyard (an Australian tv show) but i thought this was very interesting. Burke
5. Had-Border Collie/Blue Cattle -2 staffordshire Bull Terriers -Mini Fox Terrier Wish-Miniature or Standard Poodle -Maltese -West Highland Terrier -Chihauha -JRT -Corgi -Basenji -I could go on for hours!!!
6. This topic has probably already been covered, but I only just saw the t.v show and it made me so proud I had to share! I was watching Animal Planet K9 bootcamp, where the army trains dogs for military service. As usual GSD's and Belgium Malmois (apologies Im not to sure about the spelling  ) were being trained and doing well. The thing which saw me so pleased was(wait for it) a Pitbull cross being trained!! I was so excited and proud , as this would show millions of people the Pitbulls true nature. The Pitbull was actually shown as a contrast to an agressive, snappy GSD,with the training officers saying ,repeatedly, how affectionate and loving Nero (the Pitbull) was. One officer actually joked about taking him home he loved him so much. The voice over continually said what a special dog Nero was and how everyone loved him. Every single shot of Nero saw him excitedly wagging his tail, smiling his big bully grin,so beautiful!!! He did injure someone though,he was so excited to see the handler Nero pushed his cage's door open and a bolt on the door hit the handler. The voice over actually said, his affection backfired. It was great to watch a show which over and over spoke of how great and loving a dog Nero ,the Pitbull cross, was.Portraying a happy, tail wagging bully grinned speciman. :D :D :D :D
