Urine dipstick 1)
Nitrite negative negativ
pH 7 5.0 - 7.0
Protein ++ ++ negativ
Glucose ++++ ++ negativ
Ketone bodies negative negativ
Urobilinogen negative neg bis +
Bilirubin negative neg. bis +

Total protein in urine 407 60 - 530 mg/l
Creatinine in urine 2086 umol/l
Uwagi / Note:
1) Please note that due to storage and transport of the urine, the pH may shiftto a more alkaline value and that crystalline structures may be altered.
2) In a stable water balance and electrolyte status, a specific gravity of> 1030 allows the assumption of sufficient renal concentration ability.

Uwagi / Note:
1) General information:Haemolysis, e.g. due to submission of whole blood samples, may affect theaccuracy of certain test results, particularly when testing for glucose,fructosamine, CK, LDH, phosphate and electrolytes.
2) Dogs with no clinical signs of hypothyroidism and results within the normalreference range are likely euthyroid. Dogs with low T4 concentrations may behypothyroid or "euthyroid sick". Occasionally, hypothyroid dogs can have T4concentrations that are low normal. Dogs with clinical signs of hypothyroidismand low or low normal T4 concentrations may be evaluated further by submissionof canine TSH.A high T4 concentration in a clinically normal dog is likely variation ofnormal; however elevations may occur secondary to thyroid autoantibodies.These dogs may be evaluated further by free T4 (Equilibrium Dialysis). Thyroidneoplasia is rare in dogs.For dogs on thyroid supplement, acceptable 4-6 hour post pill total T4concentrations generally fall within the higher end or slightly above thereference range.Please note: As of April 2011, the reference interval and interpretive rangeshave been adjusted based on updated data.
3) Basophils up to 200/ul are considered normal in the literature.
