2. Hi, I live in Norway myself, and have two english cocker spaniels. I take them with me for my runs in the forest (5-12K two or three times a week) and they have no problems keeping up with me, even for the longer runs. As long as you start when they're fully grown and slowly increase pace/distance it should be OK. In Norway (and probably Denmark, too) the Brittany is called Breton, so maybe you can find more info on them with a search for that name. I've always thought that Bretons are beautiful, happy dogs, but in Norway most breeders are reluctant to sell them to people who's not into hunting, I guess they're trying to avoid the breed to become "just another family dog".... Good luck in your search! Mille
3. Two English Cocker Spaniels... Mille
4. Thank's Ellieangel! Cleo is a beautiful name for a Clumber! How is Cleo when she's playing/running? Is she very "slow"? I use to take my dogs with me when I'm jogging, and the Clumbers look a bit "slow" in a way. But I guess if a cocker can keep up with me, a Clumber can, too (doesn't take that much, really  ) How about grooming? I would guess they're easier to groom than both the Springer and the Cocker? And are they as social to people/dogs as the other spaniels? Sorry to bombard you with all my questions, it's just that I want to know as much as I can about them! Mille :D
5. Wow, a rastafari-basset! I've only met one Basset Hound in my life,- his name was (of course) Basil!
6. Great photos! The expression on the face of your favourite seems to be saying: Can I please, please, pleaaaaase have another biscuit? Those long ears are incredible, by the way, they must stumble in them all the time!? :o
7. Thank you so much for the lovely pictures, so nice of you! :D
8. :mdrmed: hi hi - big mouth, big ball! I'm definately in love... They have this cute rolling walk, that I also think the Basset Hound has. I think they're a bit calmer than the other spaniels, too. I love the "stress" and energy of the dogs in the sporting group, but after having cockers, english setters and german pointers with LOTS of energy, I think I'm ready for my next dog to be sliiiiightly more laid back. Now, let's see if I can manage to insert that picture.. Yipppeeeee!!
9. Ohhh, look at those faces in the two last pictures!!!!!! I want one!! :bigcry: Thanks, Behle, lovely photos! I didn't know that the St. Bernhard could be a part of the development, it really makes sense, though. The head study really shows some similarities, don't you think? Mille
10. Yes, they are just beautiful, aren't they! They have something slightly "miniature St. Bernhard'ish" about them, makes me want to :bigok: and :buzi: them! Mille
11. Hmmmm, I must have done something wrong again when I tried attaching the photos... :-?
12. Does any of you know anything about this breed? I'm happy with my cockers, but I think these guys are really adorable! (And there's always room for one more dog in the family  ) I haven't seen one for many years, I guess they're quite rare, at least where I live. I found this, what a little heartbreaker... 15. Hi, Nea so sad to hear you're having trouble with Bir. I also would have a talk with the trainer before making up my mind, it's difficult to tackle those problems when you don't really know the dog and the reason he's behaving bad. I got both my dogs when they were adults (5 yrs), and even if they weren't aggressive or anything like that, they sometimes behaved in a way that I didn't really like. It was very difficult to work with those problems since I didn't know the dogs and couldn't read the signs of insecurity etc and also couldn't see what triggered it. But after having them for a while it was easier for me to see what were the problems and dealing with them in the correct way. Hope everything turns out well for you and Bir, wether you decide to go on together or not. Good luck! Mille
