1. Yes I made it myself. It took about 30 minutes, but as I looked back at the un-neccesary (SP?) killings of this wonderful breed, it came faster than I planned. I am glad you like it. There are sites on the internet where you can post your own poes, and I think I'll post this one up one day.
2. OK, I have had enough of this mess. These mutts have no business being created. The breeders do it to make money and that is all there is to it. I do not care if they can say they did it to make a good companion or whatever. Just about every breed of dog out there can make a great companion. We have NO need for more and more breeds on this planet. We have more than enough as it is. That is why so many are close to extinction. That's why I dispise mixed breed breeders.
3. bullygirl, I am not sure. I only recently heard of this place. K9 New Life sounds good though. Hopefully they will all be adopted soon. Thanks for helping though. These dogs are great.
4. Yeah, I understand. Sable is precious. I really like her too. I am going to see if I can meet them sometime soon. I am also going to the shelter and look at some of the dogs there.
5. Thank you so much bullygirl. These Pits are too darling to not have homes. I liked Sable too but I am looking for a baby that I can raise.
6. THAT :( WAS :( BEAUTIFUL :cry: SO BEAUTIFUL I THINK I'LL CRY NOW {sniffle sniffle}
7. Yes, purebred dogs were originally crosses. But Bec, this is the 21st century, most of those purebreds are now recognized by the AKC. And you do not see too many recognized mixes in the shelter now do you? NO, because mixed breeds are just that, mixed breeds. They aren't recognized. And some most likely never will be. Cockerpoos may be because they were one of the first Poo crosses, bred a little over 30 years ago. But do you really think a Bull Boxer is going to be accepted into the AKC anytime soon? No, chances of this happening are VERY slim. Also Bec, if you pay close attention to the dogs in pounds and rescues and things, a lot of them are Poo's and Oodles. The world is getting Oodles of Poo's these days. SO Sad.
8. Murder of the Innocent By: Encyclopedia Here I am, Here is ther place. And there's the table Where they wipe out my race. What is it that people Have against me? Why do they do this? Please just let me free. Millions were before me, And many more will come soon. Why do they always take us To the dark, damp room? Nobody wants us And that is not right. So what if our first use Included dog fights. This isn't fair to me. I don't know what I did wrong. The murder of Innocents has gone on too long. Here comes the needle, And even though I pull, This shelter along with many has killed another innocent Pit Bull. Everyday, thousands of Pit Bulls who are perfectly capable of getting good homes are euthanized just because the shelter doesn't allow the breed to be adopted out.
9. An amazing 19 Pit Bulls and Pit Mixes are sitting here in Virginia waiting for a home. They are currently with the K9 New Life Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. If ANYONE is looking for a young, baby or adult Pit Bull or Pit mix, this is like a shopping center for you. Here is a picture of one that I have been looking at and admiring. Here's the link. 10. Bec, if you still believe that the "breeders" of MIXED BREEDS are just trying to be nice and make a new breed that people will love, then look at this little guy who is sitting in the shelter now. Simply because his owners didn't want him any longer. If the breeders of this dog were responsible, they would have taken him back. But if they were really responsible, this dog never would have been bred and he wouldn't be sitting there with no home right now. 11. Silly Go, I LOVE Pit Bulls. I have owned 2 others. I know all that comes with the package. And I love the package of taking care of those wonderful dogs. But I actually found a nice little shepherd mix I want. She is the one in the picture I posted.
12. I didn't read the whole thing, but they seem to look to have Papillon in them. They look like they would fly away if the wind gusts to hard though! I WANT ONE!!!
13. STUPID IDIOT CONFLAB PUPPY MILL FREAK SICKO :x  I LOVE PUGS, THAT LADY HAS GONE TOO FAR. PUGS ARE ONE OF THE FEW CHINESE BREEDS I ADORE AS MUCH AS AMERICAN BREEDS AND THAT LADY RUINED THOSE POOR BABIES. IF I COULD GRAB HER I'D SLAP HER TO NEXT MELLINIUM! :agrue:
14. WHHOOOPPPSIEEEEE! Forgot the picture!
15. I REALLY like this Shepherd mix. She looks like she is Shepherd/Hound mix. Isn't that face just too pretty for words? I am thinking about you know whatting her!! adopting her i mean
16. Check this little buff beauty out. Look at those piercing eyeballs! http://www.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=1380472&adTarget=468doggeneral&SessionID=3e9f532d2f98b986-app3&display=&preview=1&row=75
17. No pressure added. But he looks so healthy. I was hoping to adopt a dog that was in desperate need of a home. Maybe a Pit or Pit mix. A dog that most likely wouldn't be adopted otherwise. But this pup is definately to be kept in mind. I only did a search for babies though. I am doing one for all ages of dogs!
18. Petfinder.com is what I have just discovered. I found no Redbones as of yet, but I did find a Dalmatian puppy that I'm thinking of adopting. And I found some others as well. Here is the Dal pup. http://www.petfinder.org/pet.cgi?action=2&pet=1431264&adTarget=468dogbaby&SessionID=3e9f4cbd774e3dff-app2&display=&preview=1&row=25
19. Possible Names: Max Benjamin (Ben) Patch Apache Ollie Cody Smack Sammy Link Kato Those are just a few of my favorites.
20. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/poodlemix.htm Here you go, a complete list of what I like to call, "Breeder's Stupidity."
21. Look at these puppies and just try not to say AWW. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/moscowtoyterrier.htm
22. Yes, I was thinking of a Bloodhound as well, but Redbones appeal to me more. I am not a fan of AKC though. Petey was registered, but I refused to have him step paw into a show ring.
23. I would say he was an Australian Shepherd mix. He looks the part in puppyhood but as he grows, his body will probably change dramatically if he is the mix the shelter told you.
24. Jerakeen (Bec), creating breeds is not a great way to start a breeding program. It is actually no way to even breed. Creating these breeds is unneccasary with all of the shelter animals dying each day. The Larbradoodle may have been created so people would have a good guide dog and not have to worry about allergies, but other hypoallerginec dogs out there also make great guide dogs. Labradors and Golden Retrievers are not the only service dogs in the world you know! Cockerpoo's and other Poo breeds were created out of stupidity in my opinion. Athenix is right. If you would like to have a poo breed, then wait for one to appear in the shelter. Creating new breeds just puts the shelter at higher risk of having to put them to sleep.

Lurcher

The Lurcher is hardly ever seen outside of Ireland, Great Britain, and America. Ther are never bred to a specific breed standar. It is still very common in its native islands. Originally, it was just a crossbreed consisting of Greyhound and either Collie or terrier blood. These days, breeders breed in a more organized way, Lurcher to Lurcher. It's bred for rabbit and hare coursing and is greatly increasing its popularity as a non-urban companion. Naturally, it will make the attempt to hunt and kill small game. The longhaired variety is sometimes confused with the rare American Staghound.
