JackieMaya
You posted on the "ooooh it's so cold here in Iowa" thread about your Newfies not being able to swim in the winter (same with my kids). I always wondered if your Newfies go out to "rescue" you if you're out swimming. Do they have to be instructed to go rescue someone or is that just part of their nature (like Aussies naturally wanting to herd things)? Inquiring minds want to know! JackieMaya
  Isnt' it funny how they go to SAVE the kids and the kids get scared? A little ironic  We use to have a lab who would do that too! When I was really little my sisters got me to go out in th ewater and pretend I was drowning and Blue would come out and save me, he'd pull me to shore and wouldn't stop until I was quite a distance from the water  I would LOVE to be rescued by a pack of newfies! :D
It's always amazing to me the natural instincts that dogs have. I love watching them do what they were bred to do. I would like to be rescued by Newfies too!

Horsefeathers!
I prefer to attempt not to drown in the first place, but yeah, Newfs are cool.
