Guest Anonymous
This is a hoax that has been going around since the Swifer product came out. It was started by our friends at PETA in order to get at Proctor and Gamble. http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/swiffer.asp
Thanks for that Newf!!!! I dont use a Swifer but its nice to be able to pass the info along. Man, I hate PETA.

courtnek
au contraire....I have a swiffer wet jet (I also have hardwood floors) and its phenomenal. I sweep up the hair, then wet jet and the floor comes out nice ad shiny....now I cheat. I dont use the wetjet cleaning product, I use Mr. CLean. I washed the wetjet container in hot water, let it dry, and then filled it with Mr. Clean for hardwood. works wonderfully.
Malamum
Our dogs actually lick the tiled floor a lot so I am very careful about what I use to clean it. I don’t use a specific floor cleaner an I am worried that the chemicals may be harmful so I use an all purposes cleaner that can also be used for humas to wash their hands with. I figure if it’s safe for me to wash my hands with then it can’t cause any harm if they lick the floor after it’s been used to clean it.
