Golden
How you usually groom your goldens for the dog shows? Anybody wash golden about a week before show and one day before again? What tips and tricks are you using to make golden coat look shine and soft?
DogPaddle
You know, it's very strange - given how sweet and popular they are but I don't think there are a lot of Golden owners here. Would information on grooming any dog with a similar coat type work?
imported_Kat
Zoe is now approaching 14 years old and has never been shown but she has always had a very good coat that judge friends of mine have deemed as wonderful for the ring. To get a nice shiny coat lots of omega fish oil is recommended and bath your Golden a few days before the show to let the coat settle otherwise the coat will go frizzy if done the day before. When you groom use a water spritzer to keep the coat damp and to tease and tame any frizzy parts. Good luck and hope this helps!
