Thanks everyone for your input. I am doing extended research on some of the things you mentioned. For those that did offer info, might you please post where it is coming from, that would really be of help! I'm glad that most of you like and find the "Guide to Selecting the Right Dog for You"
useful!
See any coat colors missing on this page?:

Um, I really suggest you go to this site. And for everyone's sake [mostly the dog's] please visit the "Myths" page also.

I know youre trying to be helpful but without the correct understanding of every breed you have listed its impossible to do so. Giving out false information is only doing harm... please, please do dogs who are being misrepresented on your site a favor and either fix the data put on your site or shut it down. :-? Im trying not to be too brutal but I cant stand it when people dont know anything about a breed and yet put out information on it without the correct knowledge. :(
Shar-Pei maintenance/
special needs:
brush regularly, firm consistent training, protect from heat, exercise, inbred dogs are susceptible to skin ailments, some require surgery for entropion - turned in eyelids, fever and swollen hocks could be early indication of kidney failure, some people allergic to this type of coat
inbreding is not the cause of entropion, skin ailments FSF and kidney failure
breeding from 1 parent can pass it on
skin problems can be controled by diet--
please get your facts right

people agreed that the selecting the right breed for you guide was good, so why remove access to it? as administrator, K, how are you helping dogs? the folks complaining about the dogsindepth.com site are also the ones (maybe yourself, with a pitbull icon?) who have breeds that are often abandoned. maybe they are exceptional owners, but when you mix the average person with some of these breeds, folks who don't have the time or the care to develop them to the best they can be, then they end up abandoned. not every one will be Michele, Debbie, Jessashelony, mouse at the bustop, crazy canine, Mei Mei or even yourself, K. sadly to say most aren't. do any of you want your breed to be in the wrong hands? imagine your kids (dogs) raised by someone who doesn't give them the love and care and time that you'all do. i think you all take for granted that everyone will be like you'all and that is not the case. i bet those of you that have children have great children too.

Mouse,
Made adjustments to the Sharpei page after extended research, one a specialist. This should meet your approval:

go ahead, delete it K, i'm powerless, just like all those dogs on death row

Hi Michele,
ok, so your chewie isn't yappy. so why does every breeder, handler and rescue person I've interviewed with ask me to add this to warn the potential owner? Anyone else stumped?

Mei Mei,
unlike this site, I sell nothing on the dogsindepth site. yes I want traffic and advertising for the 'Selecting the Right Dog for You' guide! absolutely! I want to help people make the right decision! but as for money, it has no revenue. there is a google ad bar and 2 ebook links the hosting company posts in exchange for the web real estate and believe me with all the bandwidth the site uses, they are not making money either. we list no breeders and do not charge rescues to post on the site. go figure.

Once again, you're wrong. I've complained about your Pit Bull information too and they aren't my breed. I've complained about other inaccurate information on other breeds, that once again are not my breed of choice. We all pretty much have our breed(s) of choice, but above all we are a group of dog lovers that don't want to see any mistaken info about ANY breed. You have come here several times and have not fixed 99.9% of any of the things we have complained about. Why keep coming back?
