Aussie_Chick
I was having an argument with my boyfriend about who was better....Wishbone or Lady (from Lady and the Tramp).I was adament Lady was better, while he thought Wishbone was. Anyway it got me thinking about who everyone's favourite t.v or film star dog was. Maybe its Lassie or Rin Tin Tin.Or Inspector Rex.It could be Pongo or Perdy from 101 Dalmatians or Eddie from 100 Deeds for Eddie Maguire. Although sometimes promoting these dogs on television often lead to them being overbred as everyone wants a 'Lassie' or 'Wishbone'. :(

Guest Mutts4Me
my favorite is the dog from My Dog Skip I just loved that movie :D
Moose also played Eddie on Fraiser. I grew up watching Lassie, so I've always been a big fan. Also really liked Jed, the HuskyX who always played wolfdogs - White Fang, The Journey of Natty Gann, The Thing (was a wolf then), etc. He's probably passed away though. JackieMaya
The coolest dog I saw on t.v. was in a movie about a dog who was being used in experiments, and escaped (with the help of some humans) from the lab. I can't remember the name of the movie, but the dog was huge, some kind of mastiff, maybe Pyrenean Mastiff? Gorgeous dog.
AllAmericanPUP
Chance from Homeward Bound.
i second that!
JackieMaya
Okay, the movie I was talking about (I did some searching) is called "Man's Best Friend," and the dog is a GORGEOUS black and tan Tibetan Mastiff. Here is what they said about the movie: Plot Summary for Man's Best Friend (1993) A genetically mutated dog is accidentally released from the lab of Dr. Jarret and ends up at the home of news reporter/animal rights advocate Lori Tanner. The dog, Max, endowed with intelligence and other special abilities, is at first lovable, but also proves to be a ferocious, unstoppable killer. Aussie_Chick
Yeah,I think your right. The dog from Meet the Fokkers is a Brussels Griffon. Isn't Toto from the Wizard of Oz a Brussels Griffon, too?
Cairn6
No Toto is a cairn terrier. And since I happen to have a cairn terrier named Toto he happens to be my favorite at the moment. I have gotten a lot of comments on his name including when he was a pup and I was looking for a trainer the lady said "No you didn't name him that, Change it right now" I didn't use her. My niece was 6 at the time and had just watched the wizard of Oz for the first time. I had never heard of a cairn terrier when I found mine and certainly didn't know the dog in the movie was a cairn. But Sam was so excited and I couldn't let her down. I still sometimes get embarrassed when mentioning his name. When he's hair is grown out he looks just like him too. I also found that very little people know what a cairn terrier is or what they look like. I am often asked if he is a scottie or a snauzer. When I tell them he is a cairn they don't know what that is. Apparently they are not too popular here in the US. People prefer the Westie instead. I guess because there are white. For some crazy reason a lot of people don't care for black dogs. They have always been my favorite. I'm rambling.

It was... odd to say the least, since I thought I'd be watching a happy dog movie. Not one about a killer dog. But in Max's defence he didn't kill anyone unnessasarily. The ending was pretty sad too.
