Guest Anonymous
My 1 year old Pomeranin has a luxating patella. There is no way right now that i can afford the 1500.00 the vet wants to fix it. I was wondering if anyone knows of anything natural i can give her for the swelling and pain. The vet said to keep her from running and jumping...right; that'll never happen. Thank you in advance for any help Robin
DogPaddle
Glucosamine, Chondroitan and Yucca. There are dog supplements of Glucosamine and Chondroitan but you'd probably have to go to a people herbal store for the Yucca. You can get the Glucosamine/Chondroitan and people stores too if you prefer.

Papillons
I replied to this in the "Everything About Dogs" section. :) I had a papillon with luxating patellas. I also a couple of months ago started a thread here about it. There's all kinds of information in there too. http://forum.dogomania.com/viewtopic.php?t=15608 Good luck! candy722
Did you try getting pet insurance. Maybe it might cover your dog's surgery. It's better to fix the problem before it becomes worse then you'll have to spend even more money. I know some vets that do love animals and they will even work out financially with you.
