DogPaddle
Kavik has half prick ears with a fair amount of hair so they don't always small the freshest. He has been to the vets and has no mites or infections. Is there anything I can rinse his ears with that will reduce the smell and clean them out some? bk_blue
Maybe olive oil and cotton balls or pads (not buds)? It gets the dirt out and doesn't irritate their ears. That's what I've used on the dachshunds and on BK though their ears didn't smell and they were all smooth coated dogs. You can probably buy ear cleaner now at a pet shop or the vet's...? Mary's Mama
Halo products makes an herbal ear wash that is really nice. It is all natural and should clean them right up. Safe and effective!
Kaleb124
I wash Kalebs ears out with ear wash from DermaPet. It smells like peach and has lubricating and drying agents to clean and keep bacterial growth down.
DogPaddle
Cool. Peach smelling ears would be an improvement, I wonder if the other dogs will be interested in the smell, could be amusing.
Guest Anonymous
I read once that you can put althetes foot powder in their ears. Would this work or be bad for their ears? It said that it has a good bacteria fighting something... I am a little leery to try it. Just wanted your opitions.
