Anyone at all??

New here :) We adopted a puppy from a local shelter yesterday. And while it doesn't matter too much, I would like to know about possible breeds that he may be, as that can help guide me on how to train him, etc. The shelter had him down as a mastiff/lab mix. But yesterday after we got him and were out and about, two seperate comments about him looking like a RR. I've been around the ridgebacks before, love them. And I do see the similarities in the face, this guy doesn't have the ridge or anything. SO what do you think? Oh, and they also had him at 3 months old, but from his teeth (that odd awkward losing teeth puppy phase) I'd guess closer to 5 months or so? thanks!! Oh, and it's the little guy.
