1. That is what I thought. I could throw up. A puppy is coming into our rescue. He's only 5 1/2 months old. For those of you who don't know, I'm part of Crest-Care (national breed rescue for Chinese Cresteds). We will be fostering this little guy and I was hoping he also might be the 12 inch agility dog I have been searching for! The woman who has him now (short term foster) says he's very smart and "an adorable handful". I did some searching on his breeder and found this website: http://www.daviskennel.com/index.html I almost gaged when I saw it. Cockapoos? Crestipoos? I just hope to doG that this little guy doesn't have any health problems.
2. She will make someone a VERY special companion. She will be cherrished always. What an angel!
3. No.... APRI is American Pet Registry, Inc. I'm not sure if there is a link to them or not. I was wondering if anyone else knew about them..... I think it's some kind of puppy millers scam....but I was just seeing if there was anyone who knew more about it than I did.
4.
IS there any really doubt? SNIP THOSE SUCKERS!
Took the words out of my mouth! And do you know what I hate even more? It's men who refuse to get their dog neutered. I ask them, "What? Is there a vein conecting yours to his????" Why do men think that just because their dog has balls it means that they do as well?
5. What the hell is this? Please tell me I'm wrong in assuming: That all these people do are sell their dogs to pet stores Big Puppy Mills Backyard Breeder
6. Please keep us updated on this, Kat. I feel so much for you! I wish all of us could take a little piece of hurt from you to help you get through this..... {{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

8. I won't even click on it. This lowlife is giving a HORRIBLE name to our wonderful soldiers out there risking their lives for us every day.
9. I know people who have done that to desensitize their dog to thunder..... I'm not sure if it would be the same, though. There is so much visual stimulation as well as auditory, ya know?
10. Congrats!! Pop a mint...... I know some handlers that do this (in conformation). They say that the dog can sense when you are nervous (duh!) and a mint helps!! Good luck!!! I can't wait to hear how you did!
11. HF reminded me.....we also have a dog-free room that is done so with a baby gate all the way to the floor so the cats jump it.
12. I had Harley (my c@t) when I moved in with Jeremy and his two GSDs. Neither of them had even seen a c@t before and Harley was used to my parent's Lhasa Apso, not these giant dogs. So we established rule NUMBER 1 right off the bat. NO CHASING. I don't care if that c@t runs in front of your face, absolutely no chasing. So we started out with Harley in her own room for about 2 weeks. Then, we put the boys in a room and let Harley explore for about an hour at a time. That was for about a week. But you don't have to do that because it is the c@t's house. This was a brand new house to Harley. Then, the dogs went into crates and the c@t had the run of the house. Again, for about an hour at a time. When she would come over to investigate them, we'd talk softly and praise them for laying down and being quiet. The rules here were NO growling, NO barking, NO whining. Lots of food was given as a reward too. The dogs learned that good things happen when the c@t is around. After that went on without any problems (or rule braking!) we put the dogs on a leash. By now, they really showed no interest in Harley. And she knew that they weren't going to chase or hurt her. So the transition to off leash was no problem. Now, we have 3 dogs and 3 c@ts all living very peacfully in our house!
13. But when you tie her up, it won't be for hours.....it will be to do potty, then let back in. So she won't be barking out there unless you keep her on a tie out unsupervised, which shouldn't be done anyway. The only time you keep a dog tied up for hours is when you are on the other end of the leash and you are playing with them. I'd much rather tie out a dog then to have him get hit by a car or to get into a fight with another animal, or be abused by a person for being in their yard.
14. Wonderful story!! Thank you so much for sharing (and making me cry!)
15. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!! GIANT SIGGIE!!! A little on the large side, don't ya think??
16.
I am going to start adding liver soon. I have also had some trouble finding fish oil, alfalfa, and kelp--any suggestions on where to find it?
My guess would be a health food store or online.
how do you keep your dog from carrying his RMB's all over the place to eat them?
Most of the people I know who feed raw will do so in a crate. That way it won't go everywhere!! Good luck!!
17. We had a Lhasa do that once....... It was AWFUL!!! She would carry around a 'litter' of her toys and go through the whole routine. Clean them, nurse them, guard them.... She was spayed shortly after!!
18. Awwwwwwwww....... A young Donald Trump!
19. I'm so sorry for your (and your friend's) loss.... P.S....LOVE the new siggie!!!
20. OOhhhh.... I bet just tons of people will jump at that jerkoff...... Are there any local Shih Tzu rescue groups? Go ahead and forward that info to them!
21.
I pose this question, "Why would you want a dog with a protective nature if you do not plan to harness and train the dog as to the acceptable use of his innate nature?"
A lot of people do not get a dog of 'protective nature' just so they can have a dog do bite work. I, like many other owners, just love the breed.
22. I just saw the 'blood thirsty pitbull' thing in quotes and that was what I said people would call them.... Soooo soooo sorry, LC. PMSing here big time.... My husband might kill me today if I don't keep my mouth shut!!
