1. I feel your pain. I gave my parents a big bag of Wellness to feed their sickly Sheltie because they feed him Kibbles and Bits. He had diarreah which is not uncommon for him because he has EPI and he threw up so they took him off it right away and said they wouldn't listen to me when I say they feed crap because what I gave them made him sick. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :drinking: Edit to say I wish they fed him Science Death compared to Kibbles and Bits.
2.
I am so glad to hear he may have a chance at a good life and especially glad to hear that he will be out of the house.
Me too.
3. You have to be careful where you take your dog. One of the girls I work with use to work at PJ's or some big pet store like that and she is always saying "this dog is lucky because at PJ's it would be shaved." :o OMG! I didn't know the dog is double coated, that is a big NO NO!!!!!!!!
4. I have heard that some places will shave a dog without asking first. Avoid those places!!! I think they were being lazy and not doing their job. A good groomer can tell you right away at the door if what you are hoping for can be done but like all humans some groomers can make mistakes and might find out once they start working on your dog that the matting is too sever. When that happens they should get on the phone with you before they do anything else on the dog! Usually there are two options 1. shave the dog or 2. they can take the extra time, maybe break it up into two visits and dematt the dog and the owners can pay extra for the time and effort to dematt the dog. 5. While I do think the right handler could put his issues under control, it
6. I am so sorry. Rest in peace Tabatha.
7.
And Doberman is spelled with one "n" in America and Canada, two "n"s in Europe - if an American or Canadian breeder is tryng to sell their dogs based on the "Euro Gimmick", they'll often use two "n"s... ugh.
Oh. I noticed the spelling thing in my Dogs in Canada magazine that has breeder ads in it. I see "Dobermann" is used more often with working kennels that have European imports so that makes sense.
8. Happy Birthday!!!! I hope you get spoiled extra today! :smilecolros: :new-bday: :BIG: :bday:
9. Beautiful pictures!!!!!! I was wondering why, you might know, there are two ways of spelling Doberman and Dobermann with 2 n's? I love this one you should blow it up and frame it!!! They are all so good blow them up and frame them all! :D
10. When I saw it in the store I was so excited and bought some and Magic has been on it ever since, that was Nov 1st. I switched Bobbie to EVO from Pro Plan, which he was eating in his foster home. He has one slightly dirty ear and I'm hoping it might clear it up. The only negative so far and it was with Magic not so much with Bobbie is she had some fierce gas LOL for about a week while I was switching her. I did it in quarters thinking that was fine because I switched her from regular Innova but I could have done it in 10% intervals. I got my engineer sister to figure out the conversion from Proplan cups to Innova Evo cups to switch Bobbie - I suck at math. :drinking: He ate 5 cups of the old food per day and only 3 cups of the new food, that's a huge difference.
11. I am very sorry for your loss. Rest in peace Gemma. Life is not fair. :(
12. I'm sorry DAL that is so heartbreaking. Rest in peace little man.
13. Magic is a humper, with dogs not people. She marks too.
14.
Goldens are wonderful dogs. All dogs are great. Why would anyone question someones love of any breed?
I totally feel the same way! I was recently having a discussion with someone and they were like "you know how German Shepherds are a required taste..." I was like "yeah" not thinking then later thought huh GSDs are a wonderful, versatile, the most perfect breed, why would they be a required taste? Everyone must love German Shepherds
15. Sounds like a fun class!!! There is the good and the bad for everything. A wonderful couple who breeds and shows Golden Retrievers fostered my GSD Bobbie before we found him.
16. Magic has been on it for 2 months. For the first week or two she had gas. She still poops 2 times a day like she did on regular Innova. Her poops are less smelly but they are harder and like rabbit pellets LOL but German Shepherd size. I'm in the middle of switching Bobbie from Proplan which is what he ate in his foster home. I think Magic's teeth are staying cleaner longer on the EVO.
17.
Since you never answered my question, that means yes right?
You made me laugh! We'll see how the first few weeks go then I might just let you steal the Double Trouble's.
18. We're picking him up on Thursday! I'll get lots of pictures. Sooo excited! Wow I'm going to have 2 German Shepherds. Crazy. :D
19. Thanks everyone! I think he is so handsome too!!!! I am so glad we found him! :iloveyou: I guess good things do come to those who wait. :)
20. Oh my god. I am so sorry. Please don't beat yourself up over it. (((Hugs))) Rest in peace Smudge.
