This article doesn't give much information, like who owns the pit bulls, why they were out, if they were provoked, etc.

Hero saves dog attack victim

Teresa Catlin came by at the right time. She helped scare away one of two pit bulls who were mauling David Deziel alongside a road in Crow Wing County last week.

She saw Deziel was in trouble and stopped her van. Catlin told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS she armed herself with her flashlight and scared one of the dogs away. The other pit bull grabbed hold of Deziel's face. It wasn't until authorities arrived when that dog was shot and killed.

Deziel estimates he was being attacked for 30 minutes before help arrived. He suffered 200 puncture wounds all over his body. He is recovering at Hennepin County Medical Center. Deziel says while he's thankful Catlin stopped to help, he is not sure he would have done the same for someone else.

"He's the one who hung on, you know and he's the true hero...I was just put in the right place at the right time by God," said Catlin.
