gooeydog
It says not to freeze, but can I? If not, how long should it keep in the fridge? And how often can I feed them it?
imported_Matty
I freeze my yogurt and eat it like ice cream. I don't know what the freezing would do to the bacteria, but, I would think it would perserve it rather than kill it. I will poke around a little and find out for sure what happens.
imported_Matty
Oh and also sprinkle a little bit of ground flax seed on your frozen yogurt. It is simply the best treat.
TDG
you don't really have to freeze it. if the seal is undamaged, it will still be fine even after it is a month or two past the "sell by" date. just make sure there is no mold on it. you can feed it daily. a 32 oz container lasts me about a week to 10 days. freezing kills bacteria, including the beneficial ones, so while you can give frozen yogurt (many people do, for example in a kong), you'll miss out on the beneficial effect of the probiotics.
