Does anyone have a mixed breed? All the dogs I've ever owned except 2 was a mixed breed. The two purebred dogs I owned were Lassie[rough collie] and Lady[smooth collie]. As for my mixed breeds I have owned Miquette [rat terrier mix] Samantha [australian shepherd\border collie] And I currently own Bear[ siberian husky1\3 german shepherd] Duke [Sheltie\ Border Collie] and Riley [rottie\lab\pointer].

I love mixed breeds because they're are no two alike and you can have your two favorite breeds in one dog.

I love mixed breeds, for all of the reasons above, and more! With a mix, you illiminate most health problems or passed on genetic problems, but the downside is, if you get a puppy, you never know how big it will turn out to be or how it will look! :-?

But I still love them, life is about taking chances!

Candy looks to be a Labrador/Terrier/Beagle mix.

My family has always had either Yellow Labs or Golden Retrievers, and from what I can remember, they were all purebred (or close to it).

Now I have two mixed-breed dogs who I adopted from a rescue shelter, and they're absolutely wonderful dogs.

Jackie (the black one) is Golden Retriever/German Shepherd/Collie (we think; she was rescued from the pound so there was no history on her).

And Maya is Golden Retriever/Husky (she was an owner-surrender so I know that's her mix).

I had one purebred dog - A Golden Retriever - Taurus

every one since then has been a mix

Rasilon - Irish Wolfhound and German Shepherd
Jarvis - Alaskan Malamute and Border Collie (vet thought there was some wolf in there as well, because of his teeth)
Freebee - Labrador Retriever and German Shorthair Pointer (we think)
Alex - Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab

All but Freebee have gone to the Rainbow Bridge....

My dog is a big mix because of her mother carrying three breeds, and her father carrying four breeds; She's a siberian husky/ rhodesian ridgeback/ collie/ australian shepherd/ german shepherd/ belgian shepherd/ golden retriever cross. Her name is Timber, you can see her in my sig.

I haven't had many mixes in my life. I've had a german shepherd/ doberman/ border collie/ lab cross. She was gorgeous. Pure white. Looked like a white german shepherd, but carried temperments from all four breeds.

I had a chesapeake bay retriever/ american cocker spaniel cross. Blue eyes. Nice chocolate fur.

All the rest of my dogs have been purebred. Right now I have Timber, and my purebred german shepherd dog, Leather.
Are they greyhound mixes?
Think so  I adopted them from rescue, but lurchers are usually bred specifically for hunting or racing, so whoever bred them chose their breed mixes for a reason. Dont agree with either though, but they're pets here :D

My dog is alot of different things. We can tell that he has Beagle in him considering he looks exactly like a beagle only he's the size of a lab. It's freaky but we love him all the same! :) We got him from the paper. He was free (the only way we ever get any pet my parents are so cheep sometimes :P) Anyways I have a picture of him on my web-site and I plan to have many more!

NoisyTiger, is it possible your dog is a foxhound or harrier? These breeds have the same general 'look' as a beagle but are much bigger dogs.
Here's an American Foxhound

Here's a Harrier

Also here is a link to a photo of an English Foxhound

Thanks for your help, but we already know that his dam was mostly Beagle his sire was unknown. So it could be very possible that those breeds are mixed in with him! But, alas, we know that he is in fact part beagle. I found out from his old owners, but thanks so much for the reply! That was very thaughtful of you ^_^!
