I completely agree, this is a very good thread, and I agree with everything on the list!

I see that this is an old thread, but I am new to the forum, so I'll post anyway. I am a sheltie breeder, I have a few that I am going to put in the show ring, I've just been getting done with all the tests, let me tell you with all the money that goes out, i must be a freak LOL. There is NO SUCH thing as a mini sheltie, the sheltie according to the breed standard is 13 to 16 inches tall. What these people are doing is taking the smaller shelties and breeding them, until they get smaller and smaller. It is horrible in my opinion. I have a male sheltie that weighs 10 pounds and 13 inches tall, but he is not one of my breeding stock, he is not the standard.
