1. Here ya go, http://www.petedge.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=3818&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=0&iSubCat=0&iSubSubCat=0&iProductID=3818&AS=1
2. I agree, Mine is a cream color. Even though one can have some apricot color on it its still considered cream. Sure they can and do get fat, if you over feed them. Don't give into them with their begging. If you are giving a high quality kibble, more than likeley you will need to cut back. When I had bought Innova brand kibble, I fed the recommended amount and she gained. So I cut back.
3. i thought the mother of that boy was just like a pagent mom. She was very hard on him, stressing him out. Weim mom was overly cheerful. Anyone going to catch the next episode where the weim gets hurt. I may. When my poodle was about 4 months old, I tried to introduce her to a boston terrier, I was holding her on my side of the fence. She screamed very simliar to that of the puppy on the show, maybe worse. I was totally shocked. I don't carry her always. Only if shopping in stores she is allowed. But she loves her walks and playing in our yard. Boy she is taking her time in wanting to be around other dogs. Its been slow. I think if I had signed up for puppy socilization class, she no doubt would have screamed and jumped on my lap. She got scared of another boston at the dog park. Its getting better though.
4. What a nice husband you are. You are surley appreciated.
5. This dog does not need to be put down. He either feels bad, or doing what alot of dogs do when they are in THEIR sleeping spot. They feel it is theirs and don't want to be disturbed. Its like invading their respected space. If you have an 11 month old that is perhaps more able to understand you will have an easier time. I don't let small children around my poodle. I know for a fact she would bite and bite hard. Lucky for me, my kids are big. Talk to your vet and possibly a behaviorist to rule out pain and any other issues. Worst case cinario, would be to get another home, but no euthanasia.
6. The only other way is to make sure they are never alone together. If you can do that, thats great. I hope you can work it out. I do have a nippy dog. Had I had very small children I would have had to rehome her. If anyone would take her. She can pack a whollop. I chose to work with her because my boys are older and know better to mess with her.
7. I say she is a red. And how lucky you are. How old is she? She to me seems to be maybe 6ish. If so her color has really stayed well. Apricot is more of an orangy tint. Tell me more. If she is older as I said she was probably even darker than she is now. If young than I'd say apricot and will lighten. The podles usually lighten with age. If she's older and born red, she was alot darker when younger I'd say. But she has alot of good color now. I have two poodles, my pup has some light apricot colorings but is considered a cream. Here are some pictures I just happened to take yesterday of her day of grooming, I hope. Lets see. Here she is prebath, Here she is all wet after her bath Here she is blown dried before clip Here she is after clip, Looking for Casper the kitty. 8. I suggest a poodle, my poodle was brought up playing with cats. Swats just like one. My sisters poodle plays with her cat.
9. I have been dremeling for the past two years. My rechargeable battery decided it would not charge anymore and I was forced to used the old fashioned method. Never ever again. I dragged my husband big dremel out and I have stolen it. LOL With dremeling I have never made my babys bleed. You can get more off, and you can see where and when to stop. I love it.
10. Being your dog had surgery, he may still not feel perfect. Dogs are more prone to lash out when injured or getting over an injury. I'd be gating him in another part of the house to ensure no other incidents or rehome him to a childless and understanding home. I know you love this dog and its a hard descion, but your baby should take presidence. If the two can not co-habitate,something else needs to be done. You need not feel like you are letting your dog down. You need to ensure your baby, that he will be safe and not grow up afraid of dogs too.
11. Oh also my sisters inlaws have either and aphenpincher (sp) or brussels, can't remember which.
12. I saw this post awhile back on tp. I had answer it. My boses step mother bred the dogs that were used in the movie as ggod as it gets. Thats the one with jack nicholson right. I had the addy, but don't anymore, I can get it if you like.
13. I have two poodles. Not ever year heard of an undercoat on a poodle. But they do have two types of hair on them. The soft hair and the coarse hair that helps it hold its form. [/img]
