  1. Daisy is very vocal, she even has a funny little sound when we rub her ears or tummy, she play growls and growls before barking a warning about a stranger comming to the door but never has growled at us, a groomer, the vet. or anyone else in an unfriendly way.
  2. Daisy cuddles up with DH for the night.
  3. For this reason we have switched our sound from stereo to mono.
  4. Is the crate being cleaned with a cleaner such as nature's miricle that will take away the smell as well as cleaning the spot? If she is smelling where she has gone before she will continue to use that spot for as long as the odor is there.
  5. The origional purpose of cropping and docking was for the safty of a working dog to prevent injury while working. While I don't like it, I understand it is to prevent repeated injury to the animal while it is working therefore do not disapprove of it. Any other reason is not good enough in my opinion. Every dog I have ever had has had their dew claws, I would never have them removed unless the dog was having problems with them getting ripped or torn, then for the safty of the dog I would consider the possibility. It really ticks me off when people have their cats declawed.
  6. umm Kat, I think you better start being more careful about letting her watch you open doors, that is probably her next self taught lesson.
  7. Sorry kids, the only ones who need to know are the ones who post there so if you did not get a pm or the 2 clues in my message above, sorry my lips are sealed. I have no desire to post the name of the site publicly for lurkers and trouble makers to go to and create havoc. We all know that happens all the time because it has happened here as well. Nobody likes it when it happens to their board so I am not taking the chance of doing it to someone else.
  8. Daisy wakes us up by laying on our chest and slapping our face, left paw, right paw, left, right. She lounges on the back of furniture and on the window sill. For her first 5 or 6 years she would let out little moaning sounds when petted, her version of a cat purring. So I would have to say a cat.
  9. Awww, come on guys, she is just an attention seeking troll who probably doesn't even have a dog let alone - lost it went to disney land bought stuff for said lost dog got home and by some miracle the dog found it's way home Oh, and Sandy, I know where you are posting and they will eat you alive over there, in other words they will get your number real quick and ignore you.
  10. Older than dirt is all I will admit to
  11. Years ago, I went back home to visit my parents for a week. Our old dog had passed away and they had a new one. When I went back for the next visit 4 years later, Toby greeted me like his long lost family member. So yes, the dogs will remember your DH. They may not remember the kid who came to the door selling girl scout cookies last year but if a person plays an important part in their pack even for a short time they will remember them.
  12. One of the dogs I had in the past would do that to guide my hand to where he wanted to be scratched. Try scratching a little lower when they do that and see what happens!
  13. Don't like the poodle cuts either, Daisy is mostly poodle in looks but she gets the shih tzu cut, shaved body with teddy bear face, and her beautiful curley tail is left with several inchs of hair the full length if it.
